With this podcast I share a variety of stories from the most well-known dynasty of them all; The Tudors. From simple stories about the people of the time to the drama that was the reign of Henry VIII and of course, religion and politics.

So, May 19th is the 483rd anniversary of the execution of Anne Boleyn - I hate to call it an anniversary because that would indicate a celebration, and it was no real celebration for Anne. Except, without her execution, I don't believe she would be as popular as she is today. Anne’s sister Mary has been mostly lost to history but part of her still carries on today - we’ll cover that more in a little bit.
On today’s show, we have a special guest, Christine Morgan - Christine is a historian and web series creator from Charlotte, NC and hold an MA in European History and has been invited to present her research internationally at history conference in the US and in the UK.
Her research covers the history of royal families, royal mistresses, religion, theatre, and propaganda. Christine’s web series called “Untitled History Project” which she writes, researches and hosts, has garnered support in her community and has been used as teaching material in high schools and universities in the US.

How am I just finding this video❤ I loved this conversation and how you ladies showed some love and acknowledgment to Mary Boleyn. I think she’s so often glanced over. Imagine Henry VIII trying to erase Ann Boleyn from history when he really put a forever spotlight on her for doing so.

So glad I found this channel. I love hearing two women discuss the Tudor Dynasty. One thing I agree with is Jane Seymour wasn't as innocent as History has recorded and I believe the reasons are she gave birth to a son, and she died shortly after giving birth to the well needed heir. Thanks for an excellent podcast on the Boleyn Sisters.

Henry was with Bessie Blount for about 5 years & married her off when she became pregnant with Henry Fitzroy. He acknowledged his children, even when they were bastard. I believe Mary had a "fling" with Henry & the Boleyns are in good standing so he makes sure Mary has a good marriage - but her husband dies. If Katherine had been Henry's child, I think he would have acknowledged her in life.

I'm going to cry..! I am 36 years old and I am obsessed with this subject and anything Tudor. I live in Charlotte NC and I feel so alone when it comes to my passion. I study this as often as I can and I love every second. Since my life is rather lonely hearing that Christine Morgan (sorry if I spelled that wrong) lives near me makes my heart burst. I love your podcast and I have to say thank you for introducing me to Mrs. Morgan's content. Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to meet her and if there is a god..I can speak to her. Disclaimer: I'm joking about the " if there is a god" comment. Don't hate me ;)

Ann of Cleves is pretty in her painting, Henry was put off because she rejected him until she knew he was the king and her future husband. I would be afraid of some old bald smelly man grabbing at me also. I tell my girlfriends that marriage was for gain and generational wealth and not for love so if there was nothing to be gained by the marriage the person was rejected.
