Glad to see you reacting to Sisters of Mercy. This was a shortened version of the song from Vision Thing. You really can't go wrong with any of the songs from Vision Thing and from Floodland. Both of those albums are top notch. This reaction made me happy seeing you enjoy this band. He was a proper cool bastard back then. Less so now. Good hire picking up Tim Bricheno on guitar after he'd left All About Eve in 1990. I remember seeing this line up live at Wembley Arena promoting this album with Dan Donovan on keys and Tony James on bass.

You should hear their song Black Planet, possibly my favorite. Nine While Nine is also good. Forgetting a lot as I haven't listened to then recently. Definitely Black Planet. Also Marian.

Andrew Eldridge denies being a Goth but thousands of Goth come to his gigs 😅 I think these Stacey prefers to be considered a metal singer and The Sisters of Mercy to be a metal band because there’s a bigger market for it as Gothic rock is quite niche.
