I think the approach they took with Ren was smart. He not only was a solo but a skywalker as well. Luke would have told him the story of how Vader turned away from the dark side and it's not like he doesnt care for his parents. he killed Han because of the weakness he caused in Ren. it's a good showing of the transition to the dark side. we never really get to see that. it's always been bam i'm evil

Jacen seemed to have a legitimate reason to turn to the Dark Side than his Canon counterpart Kylo Ren (who blandly just turned to be more like Vader). Jacen on the other hand turned out of fear for a greater evil that would eventaully rise in the galaxy, the death of his brother certiantly played a role in that as well (he even named his ship after him). Han's relationship with Jacen was more harsher than his relationship with Kylo as he blamed Anakin for the death of his best friend Chewbacca, which really offended Jacen as he couldn't believe his own father would say that to his son. In retrospect, Kylo's turn to the dark side was more selfish and childish, while Jacen's motivation were more selfness and noble.

Let's say that is the main difference between marvel and star wars. Marvel started as a comic book brand, therefore the MCU is easy because they can adapt the way they want it, and they can also reeboot it to their preference as it happen in comics all the time. SW started as movies and remaking them would be very controversial, so everything that is about SW was made as a continuation of that trilogy EVERYTHING. From the prequels, the clone wars series, the comics, the game everything is around the original trilogy, everything is an expansion of the original. When disney bought SW, it was difficult to get quick money from comics, novels, series with the EU. Because everything had been done during the decades after ROTJ, the money has been made by lucasfilm before disney came in. They did not bought lucasarts to only make money with the movies, they want the money with everything else, with derived products. That is why the EU was Canned by disney, it was inconvenient to them and therefore better to be discarded for their wallets.

Darth Caedus is my favorite Sith of all time, since he attempted to, and in my opinion succeeded, in conquering the dark side; he bend it to what he perceived as the greater good. For a time he was lost to its influence, yes, however in the last Legacy of the Force novel you see him taking a step back, reflecting on his actions and determining that he has strayed from his original purpose.

Krayt is the best. Such a great story. That would be a great series of films- Tusken/Jedi/66 - Post66/Tusken/Fall- Vong/Sith/End. I hope, every time we get onto Tattooine in a new show, we get a Hett. Thought it might the one thing Book of Boba delivered...but still waiting. Imagine if that was how Boba got over his hate for the Jedi, by seeing a lightsaber come out in the hands of a Raider that helped his clan, fight scene=earned respect, learning of 66 from Hett's view, seeing the treachery of the Empire and how they were all fodder- Clones, Jedi, Citizens; changing his outlook even more. It would have been a nice organic way to get to the temperament he displays now too and still keep all the bacta memories.

The Sith can't truly be destroyed, since the Force and the Dark Side of the Force will always exist. At some point someone or something will always fall to the sway of the Dark Side. He/She/It may not be a Sith, but all the Sith really are is Dark Side users with an underlying ideology. The original race from Korriban died out millenias ago and the title "Sith" has since been just that, a title.

Great vid but you had history backwards. Luke’s nephew fell to the dark side first then was killed. It was his fall that made like Retrace his steps in his journey he undertook to find out where his nephew fell and how. Side note the reason Luke took the journey was because of tension in republic and he chose an exile for a time. It was on this exile that Luke and Ben became notice by the lost trip of the sith. Besides that you got the rest right . Keep making the vids.

Excellent breakdown. For the longest, I've been considering doing a 'Galactic Timeline Records' video, similar to what Bioware did with the Old Republic for SWTOR, for the Legacy era. It's pretty intricate and detailed when you get into the nitty gritty. I feel like the story should have ended with Darth Nihl retreating the One Sith, though, because the whole Darth Wredd thing just kinda ruins that plotline.

I feel as though Sidious really screwed the rule of two, very early on in his life when he took Maul in. Although Tenebrous did the same thing with having more than one apprentice. He had like 5 apprentices, and they would spawn their own apprentices. I feel as though Plagueis truly had the Sith going in the right direction, and although Sidious was powerful, he was careless. I feel as though Hego could have concealed his actions better, and continued the rule of 2.

I like the idea that the true interpretation of the chosen one prophecy is that it wasn't just Anakin that was destined to destroy the sith and bring balance to the force but that skywalker was, meaning that if the sith and dark side ever rose a skywalker would rise to fight them, first anakin then Luke, Jayna, and Cade, and in what I prefer to call it Abrams continuity, anakin, Luke, then rey, I hope at least.

+Jason Archer - I prefer the idea that the Force is indifferent, seeking only balance; not Light or Dark dominance. During a period of lightside dominance the prophecy states one would be born to bring balance to the force...and that one grew to destroy the Jedi and become a Dark Lord of the Sith. During the ascension of the [Sith] Empire, one was born that would ultimately bring the downfall of the Sith. Ultimately, the Dark side isn't 'evil' and the light side isn't 'good'. One demands ephemeral passions be put before all else. The other demands nothing is put before spiritual peace. The problem with passion is that you come to enjoy and revel in it. The problem with spiritual peace is the search/journey becomes the sole focus of a life; they both consume you. One by immersing yourself in the moment, the other by completely removing yourself from it. The Jedi are not soldiers or warriors....yet what if they had put aside their individual quests for 'spiritual peace' and actually policed the galaxy, cured sickness, ended hunger, eradicated poverty and stopped war...are they not as selfish as a Sith seeking personal power? What would true balance look like in the Star Wars universe? p.s. you haven't been to see your nephew 'wee baby' Seamus in years; he's like wee toddler Seamus now.
