Commissary items don't seem like much to people on the outside world but whenever you have everything taken away from you, you grow a new appreciation for what you can get. Little packs of mayonnaise [or in your case, face moisturizer 😂] etc...can go a long way! What that being said, we should take nothing in this life for granted! No matter how simple or small an item is, it can always be valued!

@@briantoal8872 that's not true though people burn their bridges with people that love them most of the time so they get locked up and don't have support just cause you commit crimes doesn't mean you have to be a piece of shit to your family another thing too is pretty much everyone locked up has some kind of substance abuse problems which causes them to act erratically and mistreat loved ones

@@briantoal8872 my family doesn't have much money but I max out every time I can I never go without because when I'm out I treat them right I treat them to food or clothes or to get their nails done and I got a girl too I don't treat them to get treated back but you give a little extra you get a little extra you know what I mean?

@@briantoal8872 I actually have to turn myself in next month I've been working I just fucked up a few years back and got to deal with it now, a lot of it isn't about poverty I meet people in there whose family I know has money and own businesses and a loving family most of the time it's all drug abuse that's why people get chances while they're locked up in prison to get time knocked off by attending drug treatment classes and they give them packets for homework and parenting classes and a lot of times they give suspended sentances and assign them to drug treatment instead drugs are bad where I'm at I've never done any drugs though at all I'm the exception to this stuff I fell in the poverty category kind of not really

Hi, Mike. This video is very informative and helpful. Glad you came out healthy and positive. I’ve got a friend who’s incarcerated and we’re worried she’s not getting enough to eat, but $300+ a month is not doable for many friends/ families - what in your opinion is the minimum amount of money that friends/ families can put on their loved one’s books for them to adequately supplement their diet? Appreciate it.

Mike I my good sir am so proud of you I myself did a lot of time in prison unfortunately for me it was not the federal prison but state prison you went in looking terrible and came out the beast you are brother and wow what a great head you have now you have a wonderful future ahead of you and I'm so glad to be a part of it.. If you haven't yet check out Wes Watson on you tube he has great work out motivation routine he's done a 10 year bit himself and has turned his life around 180. Federal prison is alot different than a regular prison. You are in cells and it's alot more intense. Glad he went to federal instead. Love this guy he's really grown ❤️

Having a goal and somthing to look forward to everyday is probably what kept him sane. Letters, calls even a friend means so much to these people behind bars. My mom went to prison for a short time she always begged me for letters and calls she needed that to keep her going. ... random! But my mom bought make up , clothes , shoes , everything! Lol I would much rather be in prison then jail

Actually a lot of people get the chance to prepare themselves. My boyfriend got a few weeks from the judge to get his personal and financial situations in order and gave him a date to turn himself in.

It takes more than just a few days to set up your money order on your commissary. Mine took like 2 or 3 weeks each time. N when your money clears, most likely your block just got it for the week so you got to wait till next week
