The Six of Pentacles as Feelings in a Love Reading

I don't see this as a "bad" card unless it's in the reverse. The 6 of pentacles is ruled by the moon (emotions) and related to the major arcana of the lovers. This is the card of reconciliation as well. The people to the left and right can represent physical and emotional needs. The man in the middle is the benefactor. Whereas the one to the left is given 4 coins, his physical needs are being acknowledged. The one to the right needs more emotional attention. This can represent a lover whom fulfills your financial and physical needs but needs to work more (balanced as illustrated with the scales) on engaging on a more emotional and intimate level. Tarot cards are not necessarily static cards: the messages also are interpreted as its relation to the other cards in the spread and to the question or issue from the querent.

I agree, generosity, empathy, love, and giving. If it were the card were in the reverse I think it would mean the opposite: one person doing too much, the other not as much, etc.

@I I I think it is important to not be so rigid with your interpretations. If that works for you, great...but it definitely doesn't work for me. The cards are extremely versatile depending on the context and the surrounding cards. I use decks that deviate from RWS meanings anyway, and look for visual clues.

6's are Tiphereth (beauty) on the tree of life - this card to me signifies abundance, plenitude and giving, unless drawn in reverse, or badly dignified by adjacent cards. I've had this card in the advice position. I have to say that this reader has a 'bad' relationship to the tarot in general. I've never clicked a dislike on a video before - but I've been sorely tempted to do so.

If the person is giving you help then they care.. I walked past a homeless person. Who just wanted a drink.. People said no.. Although I wasn't emotional ties.. I felt sorry for him so I purchased him a drink.. So as feelings they either feel sorry for you or they care about you.. He has his back turned to the emotional side which is saying emotionally he isn't giving.. But physically he feels he can.

To me it shows an individual who is full of itself. Too confident and manipulative maybe. When it comes into a loce reading I feel like the person representing this card takes the other for granted. Like the attitude of a partner who makes the other feel like she/he is lucky to have him/her and that he can always just depart. As well I feel like this is a ‘player’ type of card. Giving a bit of what he has to different partners. Cheater. In a good read may mean that the person has a very giving nature but that is rarely when I get it.

I may not agree with some of your interpretations of the upright cards because I find them overly negative, BUT not this one. 6 of pents appears in readings regarding the exact situations described. Apart from generosity, which is a good thing, the rest of it is accurate, it’s not a good omen in love readings and it becomes clear only through real tarot practice.

And yes if we look over the entire imagery the scales are out of balance abd two men are on their knees.. for any relationship this card exactly goes the way she said and in case of material things like " am I getting this house on rent" ans-- most probably..
