Johnnie Mae, was one if my favorite characters. Kerry out did herself in this movie. I cried so much during this movie. This story was so beautiful and I am happy they told those ladies story. ❤ Tyler Perry did well.

I didn’t know about these women either. Kinda sad that we as black Americans still learning things that black men and women did in the past. I learn a lot about what my ancestors did when my three kids were in elementary school during different events. When I was in school all we heard about was Martin King and Rosa park. I was born in 1962. Things coming out slow about what black Americans did back in the years So much just were hid. But slowly but slowly.
