I'm not sure how to properly describe it. Regardless, he dressed up a commoner and went to see her upon her arrival to England. She didn't recognize him, likely because she didn't know about this practice, and rejected his advances. After all, why would she flirt with a middle-aged, ulcerous commoner on the eve of her wedding? Henry didn't really think that through. The assumption is that he got butthurt and rejected her - basically a "you can't fire me, I quit!" situation.

Yep! And Katherine Howard was beheaded too, it's believed she was in her late teens when she died, it's sad. She was also first cousins with Anne Boleyn. And then Katherine Parr survived because Henry died first. I remember singing a song similar to this, when I was about 9, I think I was Year 4 or 5 then. My class did an assembly in front of the school (hated it 😂😭), and it was on Henry the 8th. Class was split into 6, and for each queen's verse, about 5 kids sang it. I was one of those who did Katherine Howard's part. Even now I still get the "divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived, he's Henry the 8th he had 6 sorry wives, some might say he ruined their lives" stuck in my head sometimes, and I just turned 23😂

He lastly married Catherine Parr in 1543 and he died in 1547.
