Great insight. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. If you could release a series on how to design integrated magnetics specifically for the LLC. Is there some way of winding the coupled inductor such that the value of Lr can be controlled with accuracy?

Thanks a lot Dr Sam for this video. I'm asking if you can upload a lecture about soft switching and resonant techniques.

There are some videos on this subject at kzbin.infovideos

Nice Dr. Sam. I hope this true only for CCM ie only for one mode above resonant frequency in lagging power mode.

Just an observation: slides 2 and 3 have an error in the schematic. The diode bridge on the output is wrongly connected, the connections to the transformer secondary need to be swapped with the connections to Cout & Rload. Regards.

Thanks for pointing out the typos.

Thank you very much for the interesting short video Dr. Ben-Yaakov. I have been looking for this PC200 ring cores for some time now from TDK to try, but apparently they are not much in stock. Perhaps still in development. But it looks like the k factor is not much different for 700 kHz to 3 MHz. So can we conclude that operating at 3 MHz brings not much difference in size as compared to 700 kHz ? Maybe other host of problems like proximity effects dominate at 3 MHz and so we need a larger core to manage the core loss density etc? Thank you.

Hi ravi, thanks for comment. I also have the impression that 3MHz is not viable.

What do you think about classic serial LC resonant converter with burst mode?

Desr professor Yaakov,the aw(winding area)is circle or square.
@sambenyaakov4 жыл бұрын
Could be either. Sometime in n a toroid (round) you mat not wish to fill up the Aw, See kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4O7XoJopNSfoqc
