The Size Of The ETS2 Map With Promods and all Map DLCS

I decided to make this short video to post while I make my next video
Even after playing this game for a while the size of the map still amazes me

The size of it can be even bigger, add the Middle East addon, the Red Sea, Afromap, road to Africa, Southeast Asia, road connections, rusmap, the great steppe, project Greenland, the North Pole, Iceland reworks, etc…

I love ETS2 and i love the new West Balkans DLC, what i like so much about it is the fact that its not all highway like the rest of the map,

in fact, I had great faith that after 10 years of development, the game would be much further along. in fact, I'm only now learning that it might be possible to drive through city centers, I thought that was a given. Even the map doesn't seem very big to me after all this time.

⁠@@vol4689there were rumors saying that after West Balkans DLC they‘ll expand to Northern Scandinavia DLC, and after that Greece + Turkey DLC. I guess they‘re currently more interested in expanding to the East. Who knows maybe it‘s worth the wait since they‘re improving with map quality. And for the Rework of older countries, They‘re currently reworking Switzerland from scratch. After that they‘ll move on to Belgium Netherlands and Luxembourg (i think). They don‘t have much experience in reworking big countries such as the UK or Going East DLC countries, but all that is what i think. I guess we‘ll have to find out by waiting.

​@@erikford7959If the developers tried to squeeze in the whole world somehow, You will have the same issues flight sim players have, having to compromise between, size and grahpics. The bigger the size of the game the more crap the graphics become and vice-versa.

The only thing i don't like about Promods is that when there is a new update or map DLC you have to wait for Promods to be also updated otherwise the game won't work at all

My promods map is not alligned. Like I open the map and the roads for Spain are in Italy or the sea. Any tips?

I have heard of that before, make sure you have no other map mods and if you do, make sure when you downloaded promods, you checked the box that you were using other map mods. You could also try downloading the high quality promods map background mod. Hope this helps!

There is a TruckersMP server for this and you can use it on multi-player convoys as long as everyone playing has it downloaded

I haven't experienced that before. Firstly, you must be on 1.49 to still use promods. If you are on 1.49 and it's not working, try disabling other map mods 1 by 1 or redownloading promods. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

You cannot actually see the country borders, annoying. Also, the roads are often going a little bit off, like the map behind not really matching it.

There are some mods that can help to show the country borders a little bit better. Also I agree there are some places where the roads go off the map but the roads fit the map well for the most part. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@user-pm7ej1zh9v If you mean reliable as in realism I can assure you it is very realistic and is as real as the default game if not better, and if you mean reliable as in safe to download, I can tell you I have been using it since around update 2.55 and have never experienced trouble. I recommend you try it out! at first I was also hesitant to use Promods because I felt it drew attention away from the hard work of SCS, but after a while I realized that it's really only adding to it and since it requires all DLCs in order to use Promods it is in no way hurting SCS, but if anything helping gain more players and keeping people playing even when they run out of new roads on the base game. I hope you try it out! also sorry for such a long response!

@@duds9101 im hesitant to it, how secure can it be? could cause unstable gameplay since it Is not from Scs And being it not from Scs, how good can that possibly be? I mean the game itself and the downloaded stuff May not work properly together whether it is compatibility or the look, plus you need to pay something little for that otherwise there's just too much stuff, and download all over again with each new patch?

@user-pm7ej1zh9v yes, it can be annoying to re-download after each update, but the updates for promods are just as often as SCS so it isn't terrible. There are two ways to download, for $1 you can download all files together or download them separately for free which for me takes about 30 to 40 minutes. I don't want to annoy you with my suggestions but once again can assure you it is completely safe and high quality and I have never experienced any instability or problems other than once or twice I've hit an invisible wall on a road but then again only 2 minor issues over about 3 years is not bad at all. So I will recommend it once more but if my replies are annoying you can most definitely tell me to stop.

The base game comes with most of the UK, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, some of Italy, some of France, some of poland and some of the Czech Republic

All Map DLCs at full price bought separately is around $125 USD but can be a lot cheaper with the many sales they have, as well as if you buy a bundle it may be cheaper. promods is free.
