@@mohawkZT Actually I agree. Doug Demuro made a video on his favourite reviews he put out in 2020 and his top choice was surprisingly a video he did on a Jeep. The reason he said it was his favourite and his most important was because Jeep actually contacted him to do the world exclusive launch video of one of their new vehicles. It was still in the prototype stage too, so it couldn't actually drive or anything but still, it means even the old fashioned corporate machines methods are updating as they've recognised how important the KZbin Car Review scene is. God I'd love to see a manufacturer contact Regular Car Reviews and ask him to do an Exclusive Launch Video. It'd be the highest trending car review in KZbin's History.

Clearly if you don’t need your key leave it in your bag....... 4. The gesture control on the NAV works perfectly when you’re not using such fast jerky movements. 6. The one in the new Volkswagen Golf is the same system. 7. The dash setup that looks like it’s “broken” is a simple dark screen for when travelling on freeways. 8. Agreed the bag hooks on the rear of the seats should probably be removable. 9. You may have noticed the Aircon said normal, not sport. That’s because the setting for the aircon changes when putting the car in economy, nothing to do with sport mode. Whilst I enjoy the comedy in your reviews it becomes a bit annoying when it’s at the expense of features in a car that you just don’t understand...

So is this overall bigger than the Fabia? Or just a bit longer? I don’t know where this sits in the range.

Audi A3 Sportback: Estate or hatchback?
@Samosayummyyay4 жыл бұрын
Hatchback!! Just look at the A4 estate. See how an estate is very long? The A3 Sportback LOOKS long, but did you know it is shorter than a Toyota Corolla Hatchback?

@@Samosayummyyaythen is skoda fabia estate an estate?

Thinking the same.

It's not unusual to hear the A3 Sportback referred to in the US as a wagon (estate). The extra third window in the rear is the deciding factor in that regard. It's not a true estate but the proportions do read "estate" to some, the same way those lifted estates (Volvo Cross Country, et al) read as SUVs to some.
@seban6784 жыл бұрын
@@JakeRoot Yeah, I kinda thought the 5-door + third window thing is what makes the difference. I recently bought a 2010 A3 Sportback, and was quite surprised that my registration certificate listed it as an estate. So at least in my country, it officially isn't a hatchback ;)

First I was split between the Kia Stonic and this the Kamiq...but that was clearly explained that the Skoda was better...but then new problem was revealed...the Kamiq or the Scala ( cut the later one is more spacious surprisingly)...any opinions??

Scala is based on A0 platform, therefore it is more like a Polo than Golf.
@Ciolan4 жыл бұрын
Considering the space and all the stuff inside, it can easily compete with the Golf. That's why every reviewer out there compares it to the Golf, not the Polo!
@johanfagerstromjarlenfors6 ай бұрын
It may be based on the same platform as a polo but it is aimed to be a car in the same class as for example golf, a3, focus or astra. Skoda already has a car in that class... the octavia... but that car, even as a hatchback, is more a rival to only the estate versions of those cars... and also a rival to cars one class above because of its space. The scala and previously the rapid aims towards the normal hatchbacks in the golf class... and I mean... the scala is about the same size as the estate versions of some of those cars but still looks like a normal (short style) hatchback... definitely not comparable to a polo or fiesta.

I've had Scala 1.5 tsi as a company car for a 8 months now. I've done 30 000 km in it and I have mixed feelings about it. Engine is great. 150 hp is more then enough, my consumption is 6.2 L over lifetime, and it is confy and quiet on the motorway. It is like tardis, so much space, infotament system is good and speakers are great. I can connect 2 phones on bt. I don't like seats and driving position. It took me weeks to find good driving position, clutch is strange, it's hard to make smooth getaway, line keep assist is annoying, front assist made me shit my pants few times by emergency braking randomly on a road. I have some weird combination od LED and HID lights and it is making my head explode when night driving and fuel tank is too small, I think it should be at least 65l and car is anything but sporty. As soon as you start to push it gets wobbly and understeery (my personal car is Giulia Qv so that can influence my driving experience)

I feel your point about the clutch.. I had it for some days as a rental car. the only way I found was shifting up really quick once the car moves

Just wanted to say that Matt probably is the best car reviewer on the web. On point informative, objective and funny. With this car - I am sold! Already tried it for a test drive :)

It has 'D' pillars, therefore it should technically be classed as an estate car.
@scottblair37194 жыл бұрын
I think I agree with both of you (I know that’s a contradiction). The D-pillar argument makes sense, but I’ve alway considered the A3 a hatchback. The old Mazda Protege 5 still confounds me.

Matt u are wrong about the parcel shelf. U can store it vertical near the backseat, check the manual.
