Things like the Cdrama Hidden Love, or Love me, love my voice. These show a slow, steady love story without major drama or fights. If you can't find one like that, then maybe a video on the silent love acts, the looks, the touches, the hugs that support when needed. Something to balance the KinnPorche stories out there, lol.

First off, skynani have asked us not to “abandon them”, now that they have received so much love and support for hsf. Unarguably, it is not only fans but other gmmtv actors as well who are ready to play along fans’ narratives and also ship them. So in short, whether hsf was just bromance or not, it was also an adaptation and they might have wanted to keep things a bit original. Other than that, skynani have reached BL audiences for which they have expressed their gratitude. I don’t believe gmmtv is queer-baiting us, simply because it doesn’t need to. Platonic love exists and can be as strong as depicted in hsf, there are asexual and aromantic people in the world as well. Whether shin and saint were a couple or just best friends, sometimes, it’s better to let things be. On the positive side, we can interpret it how we like. This being said, the new project announced for skynani, whether it is BL or not, is a positive reaction on gmmtv’s part for both the actors and the fandom. Personally, I would like to see them in a BL too, and if the world isn’t ending next year, I am keeping my hopes up. Imina skynani will remain a miracle!

Bromance is a valid and enjoyed genre all over the world. It needs to stay a genre, no matter how blurred the lines are becoming. Bromance is one of the few weapons against the massive, toxic masculenity that most societies have accepted. Showing that you can be friends, you can love someone, you can be that close to someone without 'worrying' about romance and being gay and intimacy. Most women have many friends that they can hang out and vent to, but toxic masculenity says that men should shut up and handle things alone. Men are humans too, they have the same emotional issues as women do (for the most part) and showing a valid way to express those emotions will only help people who think they have to do it alone. Ok, off my soap box and back to my BL watching. Heart Killers, here I come.
@ark90ELFАй бұрын
Agreed. I'm tired of everything being about romance and s3x. People can and do have intimate bonds without those things even being a factor. We should be celebrating and normalising this not making it out to be some sort of shameful thing. This isn't the 50's anymore. What could be interesting though is following the propensity in Thai bl to have 2 versions of the series, one of them being 'uncut', they could do a bromance version and a romance version. I am an older man who has a number of very close male friends. We support each other and love each other. Many women friends have the same connections as well. Most of us have learned that love affairs of any kind often do not last while deep meaningful friendships can last forever. I think HSF showed 2 young men having that kind of love, supporting each other always without being sexual or romantic. That’s certainly cool with me, especially when the series is so well done. I think Sky-Nani can do whatever they want and SHOULD do whatever they want. Don't worry about how it's going to look to fans and do what feels right to you guys. No matter what you do, you're going to have 'fans' who hate you and don't like you. So I'd say just do whatever you two want to do whether it's BL or bromance or even just plain friendship. Do whatever makes you less stressed and makes you happy. I for one like both straight (lakorn) and BL's, along with bromances. So I'll most likely watch things regardless of the genre as long as it has a good engaging storyline and decent acting. The only thing I have an issue with is false advertising and manipulating and tricking viewers. Don't market and subtly hint at being a BL if you have no intention of making it a BL. Just market it straightforwardly and be like this is the friendship between two guys or it's a bromance that will never go anywhere and it's obvious they aren't into eachother in a romantic sense. Why not just be honest? If you're honest, people will watch it and accept it and won't throw 'shit' at you. They might be disappointed if it's not a BL but they won't complain much in that aspect. But if you market it subtly as a BL to draw in that audience with the 'unspoken promise' that it's going to be a BL, that's just not a nice thing to do. Because you're lying to the audience to draw in a lot of people. There's nothing wrong with BL actors or straight actors or w/e sexuality actors acting together in a non-BL but don't lie and imply it's a BL when it's not. But then again, maybe this will turn out to be like Kidnap. Kidnap originally was also a bromance and non-BL but so many fans protested against it that it eventually was changed into becoming a BL. So maybe Wu will turn out the same way - especially bc Wu doesn't even have a script or characters according to Sky and Nani.
@marcuswang6168Ай бұрын
The characters are simply more than friends less than lovers to me. Admittedly there are some scenes that feel like they were shot in a way to mislead people, but love isn't only romance. E.g. "I'm crazy because I love you" might be on purpose to draw in BL fans, but anyone who watched the show can tell that they truly loved, and still love, each other. If as soulmates, so be it. Soulmates don't have to end up at the altar together. Shin keeps Saint grounded, and Saint always has Shin's back. Even when they separated, their shadows are still etched in each other (Saint not wanting to look for fights anymore, and Shin naming his gang Tsunami after Saint). That is the objective truth. Their love is as true as can be, and they are heartfelt with each other in their deeper conversations, which leads to the slightly awkward moments. Sky and Nani also becomes shippable because of how they behave around each other. I'm not sure if it is intentional, but they really do treat each other differently compared to other people. They also look great together because they operate on a similar wavelength, plus Sky is always looking out for Nani and Nani is at ease with Sky. Even if they are not a couple, they will appear at least to be besties, and that alone is enough for BL fans to get delusional. Whatever the case, I only hope that the actors themselves are happy and do not get into any flak now or in the future. Sky has always been solid and Nani is doing a great job himself. I'm just excited for their future performances, paired or not. P.s. I'm not hating on anyone, apologies in advance if any parts sounded rude, please be kind 🙏🙏🙏

I do have to say, after having watched HSF (and Peaceful Property too), my two favorite GMM shows ended up being non-BL. HSF was just a good, solid series irrespective of the genre. Some of their BL content this year felt a bit lackluster by comparison. While I enjoyed some of them, (especially "We Are", they were in stark contrast to the quality of the non-BL material. This pairing is an opportunity for storytelling. Lots of people I know have said they wanted more stories that circle around friendships. I personally believe friendships can be arguably stronger than romantic relationships, but I’m not here to argue that in full. (Just think about it for yourself on your own time.) Sky-Nani is one of a kind and opening up more room for exploring bonds that aren’t full on romantic, but another form of love that is not often capitalized or emphasized on. Most notable examples in recent years I think of off the top of my head are Final Fantasy 15 (three of a prince’s closest friends all taking a road trip with him) and Wicked (the friendship between the Witch of the North and the Wicked Witch of the West). If someone wants to come to this pairing in hopes of a love story, if you feel queer baited (bluntly put,) it might just not have been a story meant for you or your current taste and you should look elsewhere. For those who like what’s happening here, there will be a decent audience on hand to see what these two have to offer.

The concept of bromance is rooted in sensorship. I don't think you can really separate the two and that is a problem that I am not sure is actually fixable. Aside from that, there is male friendship, and then there is this. There are BL series out there with less touching, claims of undying devotion and love than HSF. Surprisingly, I feel like Peaceful Property, a show with an actual established BL pair as the main leads, managed to pull off a proper bromance. All of that being said, whatever Sky and Nani decides to do off screen is an entirely different matter. If they want to lean into it or not that is their business. Any beef I have is solely on the series they make, not them as actors and how they might or might not choose to market or otherwise show their relationship. I hope that it will not limit roles for them. Other BL actors try other roles in other dramas and I am here for it all the way.

This! I have no problems with series that are about platonic friendships but marketing them as a bromance pairing and calling a series bromance doesn't sit well with me knowing that term is usually used to mean any series that was adapted from a canonically queer media and censored in the adaptation like The Untamed, Word of Honor, Guardian, etc. those series that were made in China and then caused a lot of issues for the actors involved bc of overzealous weird fandoms. Now they can't even adapt those series there and actors can't even be seen together. They could have friendship pairings but I don't think its okay to market them the same way as BL.or GL pairs do bc it screams "no homo bro" in our faces. I'd buy Shin & Saint just being friends if they didn't add in the crying and the I love you's and the jokes about them being boyfriends. It's just baiting. 😅

Personally, I love them as they are and will be happy with whatever they choose to do, so long as it remains their choice. My concern is them feeling pressured into doing BL because everyone is singing ""Imina Skynani", even their friends/colleagues and especially the fans. If they do decide to do it at some point, I'm totally on board but I'd hope that it's because they actually want to. I think that fans are the ones who need to manage their own expectations. If the show is being marketed as bromance and knowing what that means in this industry, it's up to them to decide to watch and risk falling for the purposely queer coded interactions knowing that they'll never amount to anything romantic or simply skip it and stick to straight BL, which there is a never-ending supply of. But fans should never get angry when they do decide to watch a bromance and nothing romantic/sexual ever happens. They knew what they signed up for; there's only one person to blame if they're disappointed in the end..

I've watched so many Asian dramas over the 20 years that I have had access to, that I must say that when a bromance is done well, I don't mind it. Even in School 2013 there were some elements of it, ever so slight ones, so amping it up in HSF is nothing. Yes, the pairing worked excellently in this one but will it work in some other drama, even in BL? That's to be seen and hopefully Wu will show us something, one way or another. Of course it would be a pity if they got pigeonholed into a genre (like it feels most of BL actors are with the same type of roles, as with the side characters happen, they're almost always the same type of characters with different names). But I really hope that the viewers' pressure and expectations wont ruin their friendship and career, as it unfortunately already has done with some of the actors. And, also, let's hope GMMTV doesn't fuck things up for them.

It was a good show.. I watched it with the mindset I had in 2000.. which didn't know what the heck is BL or bromance.. It's had a good story, good cast - all the actors and actresses did a very good job.. It was watchable.. enjoyable even.. I liked the charactors Chadjen and Ken and the Eve and Peeta.. Yeah.. It was a good show..

First of all I started watching this show thanks to ur previous video. Now I'm a full on fan of skynani. Second of all ,I do think bromances should exist as a genre . They do deserve their own representation apart from BL. This show being a remake of school 2013 was definitely meant to be a bromance and nothing more.Fans shouldn't have expected anything more from this show. That being said ,gmmtv did try to reach that BL audiences by trying to blur the lines so much .The kind of intimacy they show in this drama is not very common among bromances IRL.So I do think gmmtv did try to queerbait us a bit with this show. But in thankful for them ,coz I got to watch this amazing show bcoz of that. As far as skynani is concerned ,i seriously hope that the fans dont push their BL agenda on them so much that it makes them uncomfortable.Nani from all the interviews I've seen seems like a very shy introverted guy. So I worry when fans push too hard for something they may/maynot want for themselves. Also from all the fandom pressure ,I feel like GMMTV is making them act and present themselves in a different way as fanservice. Like Nani presents himself like a cute puppy nowadays ,and I kinda worry if its all just an act. The biggest problem with some BL fans is that they dont see them as characters ,they tend to reimagine the onscreen chemistry to real life .What they fail to realise is that these are actors just acting out their roles in a show ....Just bcoz their characters r in love doesn't mean they r. They go beyond boundaries to force their BL agenda upon the actors IRL. I fear this is what makes the actors uncomfortable with each other in the long run.I do suspect that this is what happened to ohmnanon and netjames couple .So I really hope that fans let them be and let them choose the shows that they wish to do than force BL on them .

Hey ! You expressed yourself very well on this topic. I agree with a lot of things you wrote but I have a few disagreements: when you say “BL fans should not force their agenda on them” but then again after watching the show is it not hypocritical to use bromance as a genre and target BL fans at the same times? And continuously use queerbaiting to get the BL audience attention ? I also always had mixed feelings about the word “bromance” as a genre. like what does that even mean? Friendship? does it even exist for girls ? Is it not queerbaiting ? Does it need be genre ?

for me the main thing that got me into high school frenemy was their insane chemistry and tension between characters. yes, gmmtv gives us a ton of bls each year, but in my opinion majority of bl couples they currently have either lack this level of chemistry or are victims of poor writing. With usual bls there's often not that much tension and the main characters express romantic feelings or intentions very quickly, which for me as a fan of slow burn relationships kills the vibe. These two delivered everything I wanted, I just wish to see more chemistry like theirs in actual bl series

@LinalinamaiАй бұрын
I feel like you just can't accuse gmmtv of queerbaiting when 95% of their shows (especially for 2025) are bls/gls. They don't shy away from committing to queer storylines and those bls are highly profitable. The disicion to keep the relationship between the characters vague seems very intentional and I love that. It opens up a whole new genre of storylines. I don't think one has to abandon bromance storylines just because you COULD make it a bl. Don't get me wrong, I hate queerbaiting, as it's to not disturb homophobic viewers. But you can't tell me gmmtv, which makes absolutley everything queer, does that. With the people critizising that it's not a bl, "BL" here seems to me like just another box people desperatly want everything to fit in. This is not (queer) fairytaleland where every couple has to end up together and live happily ever after (but I also love those kinds of bls). Leave some room for creative freedom and new storylines!

I really appreciated you trying to give fair weight to the different sides of this discussion. I'm not sure what I think about bromances b/c, as you point out, falling into BL tropes does blur the line, and queerbaiting is a very real issue. But male friendships are also very important to represent. The only thing I'm certain about is that I hope the fall out doesn't land on Sky and Nani. I know they, as actors, are benefiting from the BL fandom, but if they never choose to give that fandom what they want, that's not their fault, and BL actors and Asian idols/actors in general seem to suffer a lot for the expectations of the fans. All while their companies continue to make money.

In my opinion the chemistry between them is great and could work both as a friendship or a couple. The thing is, High School Frenemy made sure to bait for the bl trope with all the longing looks, love confesions and making sure if the characters were friends or boyfriends. I feel like at some point even the writers, actors and charachters in this show were confused about what was happening. Was it queer-baiting? I would say so, just because the insinuations were too much at times. I wonder if it was planned ahead or they decided to add it as they noticed the spark between the actors during the shooting. The show was great, I loved the characters, storytelling and production. It deffinitely could have stayed as an undeniable bromance and be amazing, but they deliberately spiced it up for the sole purpose of rising questions. Do I mind? Not at all. It added a bit of comedy into it as well. Overall hsf was amazing and I can't wait to see Sky and Nani in their next project, whotever it will become.

The comments is really disappointing. I'm an asian, first of all, male friends do bahave like this especially who are with eachother since they were kid and has deep bond. It entirely depends on the individual personalities. Take romance out of this series and watch, still it would make sense. Not everthing is romance. As for fans and their friends teasing them because their chemistry is good and it meant to be a friendly joke. Artist never thought it would make bl fans like this series, they even expressed shock and gratitude. As for 'i love you's' I say this to my friends all the time and in this story it was needed bcz shin always tells i hate you to saint and not very expessive, so saint needed to hear after what happened. Don't take conversation out of context, just because it makes us exciting that doesn't meant it doesn't make sense to two friends like them. Please don't categorize every line to the specific trope, it disappointing when people say 'these lines should be only in romance trope' entirely taking conversation out of context, follow the story of 2 individual who have a strong bond. Anyway I think people are either jealous that this gained popularity of all sides or just following the people saying it as 'queerbaiting'🙄.I get that people ship them and yes I ship them too, shipping is common. If they doesn't have story, acting and chemistry, this series wouldn't have worked at all, no matter how much people trying to disregard this series, just watch again without the bl mind, it still would make sense, watch the entire series not clips. The pov is from shin and saint, the story following like that, people are sensitive about everything. Not everything have to be romance. Spread love not hate❤

I get you but I did the same I watched the show with no expectation since I hadn't watched the original I said let's see what Thailand would make. The first I love you flew over my head as everyone says it even me to my friends. Then, in the next episode, I get lines like "Yes, I am crazy because I love you." I said hun what? In my head (I literally chocked at this line because it came out of no where. I was eating something then) this line could have been anything else but using romatic lines in a non-romantic show would definitely stir up bl watchers(bl spidey sense wakes up).And I was like are you kidding me I can't take you(character) seriously and this kind of cheesy lines and teasing kept intensifying episode after episode.Then there was a scene that most people use as a rebuttal which makes sense because if put in that situation what else would I have thought of, I also think that the line (that specific dialogue) was written with the audience in mind "our relationship can now be in the open"long stares"i mean as friends what were you thinking". What else would he have thought of except, oh yeah, we can now be friends without hiding it. I don't know what it is but dialogues like that would make a bl watcher question them. Which is what happened to me as I kept watching the show.I don't think it's a straight up bl but it's what I describe as an unintentional love story. Everyone kept saying it's a platonic love yes Platonic love which is know as Philia love which does exist but with those dialogues like that it evolved into a romantic relationship that is what this show was.

I love BL and I love bromances. Either genre’s can make some great shows. To me, I personally feel like bromance feels deeper; more connected. There is more to the plot than just a romance. It leaves the watchers with anticipation and excitement. I have fun and let my imagination run wild watching it. I start looking for tell tale signs that there is more going on between the two male leads. I understand about the countries that have censorship, but their bromance series hit it out of the park.

BL fans can get excited and can want more from a bromance for sure but in this case, we were being toyed with. The company definetely queer baited with those thumbnails. But now with this overwhelming response. I just hope the actors will be alright when the heat dials down, I wouldnt want them to be blamed if the publicity goes bad or for them to feel forced into anything either. (As fans) we have had our fair share of actors who didn't do BL shows for the right reasons and ended up ruining otherwise good shows and hurting everyone's feelings, so if they opt NOT to become aBL ship who get their own shows and all, that will be alright too. GMMTV just needs to tread carefully after this point. Teasing when the show was upcoming to get the attention of BL fans was ok but they kept up the ruse and took it so far that this reaction from the BL fanbase is not out of nowhere. Its a collision indeed.
@laurabeninato256625 күн бұрын
Tbh i think it’s just another wonderful GMMTV strategy. I don’t think it was not intentional, because i suppose the filmmaker would have done some cuts, remove some scenes and even put a different background music, but they didn’t. And i think they are very professional in their work, so it cannot be a “mistake” or “coincidence”. Moreover, i think it’s just an opportunity for Sky and Nani to be in the world of bromance. It’s true BLs are popular, so many actors in order to have success in the acting world have to cast in there, but i think bromance is a another way of making BLs with just chemistry (without the touching scenes, ecc). So, i think if they feel uncomfortable of doing the typical scenes presented in BLs, in the world of bromance they would feel more comfortable and at the same time be able to continue doing the job i suppose they love.

I agree with you, the people that say “male friendship representation” are so weird because let’s be honest, which straight man is asking for representation of friendship? Also which straight man would watch this show? Let’s be honest. The viewers of High School Frenemy are BL watchers, even in the beginning when it wasn’t getting much hype, it was still BL fans watching. Straight men don’t want that “representation” and they don’t need it. They’re not a part of oppressed groups, like the LGBTQ+ community that actually does need representation. So the straight fans that are using this argument on twitter need to create a different argument. Anyway, just came across your channel and I’m loving it!
@pagesinkedАй бұрын
Exactly! 💯 There are plenty of positive representations of male friendships. Even in most series nowadays the main characters always have a friend group they are close with. Like We Are, it was a BL with the main couples but if you look beyond that element the story was just about two friend groups of guys and their university life and antics together! A lot of the scenes were just the friend groups hanging out! Same with Theory of Love, The Trainee, Perfect 10 Liners, etc. etc they all have scenes of male characters and their positive friendships.

I don't mind if there was no kissing, I would like to see some kissing, but I don't think a love story needs kissing in order to be a good romance. Now about SkyNani, if they don't want to do a BL, it's their choice and it's better if they do what they are comfortable with, but they are clearly walking the BL ship path and I hope they are aware of it, because they will get everything that comes with it (good or bad) even if they are not locking lips on the screen.

What made the series great wasn't just the good acting. The subject matter they dealt with took a different track of the usual run of the mill high School series put out by GMMTV.. Mark who played Chatjen in the series was the best I have ever seen him and I seen him in a number of GMMTV series already. Idk about Wu but Highschool Frenemy i would classify as queerbaiting BUT the original School 2013 also did this so it felt intentional? Kinda like an inside joke? Like their doing a remake and i dont know how much they were able to change maybe thats all they were able to do. But the staff of School 2013 i remember a video where they didnt want to specify what kind of relationship it was. I dont remember the exact words but they kinda were like it could be either. so all the constant play flirting just kinda felt like a we might not be able to make a full BL but we can certainly imply just as much and more than the originals already did! They have AMAZING Chemistry and i would LOVE for them to be in a BL but if all they want to be in is straight/Bromance shows thats fine but bromance isnt really my cup of tea. I only watched HSF cuz i thought it was a BL and stayed for when i realized it was a remake of a beloved show. If they tone down the play flirting for Wu that would be nice if its just a bromance but the premises of the show is just...not giving friendship if im being honest lol. Like yea i get it friends can be soulmates. I have a platonic soulmate myself but the red string is so ingrained in my head as romantic it feels weird.

I'm not watching BL for the nc scenes nor the deep long kissing scenes, I watch BL or Bromance for the storyline and the deep connection between the characters. I hope they are not forced into something they don't want to just to keep the fans happy and GMMTV using them as tools to make more profite. At the end of the day they are simply actors and they should be able to choose what THEY want to work on and not what fans want. They are not puppets that fans can control.

Those Chinese bromances are mostly adapted from novels that were actually queer. The term bromance has always been used to censor queer media basically saying "no homo bro" 🙄 Also us queer fans actually DO watch queer media FOR the romance and NC scenes, because in the years past queer media has been censored and queer sexuality swept under the rug and we have been told its shameful and sinful. Why should there not be media for us then? The fact you call yourself a fujoshi even tells me all I need to know. Do you just watch queer content for the uwus or do you actually support queer people and their rights?

@@pagesinked My daughter is a lesbien so of course I support the community but even if she wasn't it wouldn't matter. I watch BL for the storyline. I've read many Danmei and I know very well that they are censored, they are very explicit chapters I like it but it's not the most important thing for me.I'm straight and I've never never like straight romance and I'm straight. I don't like straight NC scenes either. They bore me to death. I like BL nc scenes just like any other BL fans but it's not my main focus. I want a solid storyline that will get my heart bumping but it's my personal opinion. Also I'm Canadian. Gay, Lesbiens, Bi Trans... are part of our lives like everything else, our friends, neighbours, our coworkers... So many TV ads with gay, gays dads, lesbiens, lesbiens mothers, trans.... We don't label them. Actors, singers, public personality don't have to "come out" we just see them with their same sex partners and it's normal. We have famous Drag Queens that lots of us admire and love. I know too well that many countries are struggling with acceptance and it saddens me. And yes it is very important to media the LGBTQ community as much as possible to make it the way it is in my Country. So I totally understand your point. My point of view oof a good BL and a good Bromance is different from other people in other part of the world because of my environment. So you do open my eye in a new point that I couldn't see about the Bromance in your point of view. So thank you! I call myself Fujoshi because BL is everything to me. Read, watch, write only BL.

Bromance is what they had in Descendants of the sun and Goblin, everyone enjoyed it a lot too. This is clearly Queerbaiting. Shin : I don't like you, I love you. *proceeds to stare intensely at saint.

It can't be queerbaiting if they never promised queer content! queerbaiting is when a maker of a media advertise their work as something that will have queer content but fails to deliver on that. not the other way around. if the fans think this is dipping on the queer side then thats on them for assuming so. they said it was a bromance and that's what they delivered. of course there will be queer perception, it can be very homoerotic but that's not queerbaiting at all. its a whole entire different thing. fans really need to check their words before saying stuff!
@touchofstrangeАй бұрын
Huh? That’s not what Queerbaiting is at all. The whole premise of queerbaiting was conceptualized based on media that had never given any indication of queer representation using queer coded elements to reel in viewers/consumers (queer themselves or all without ever having had plans for queer content. I’ve gotta wave my fandom grandma flag here because I was involved in some the earliest discourse when the term was co-opted from politics (used in the same context as ‘race-baiting’ to attack aspects of a political component). And I participated in some of the earliest fandoms that prompted queer theorists of the 1990s (and especially the early 2000s) to really delve into the concept in pop culture. I’ve helped author thesis papers on the topic.

@@touchofstrange baby you need to look up what queerbaiting is. Its a marketing technique that people use to attract queer audience they would advertise make it seem like a certain media would deliver queer content but would never follow through. Honey HSF isn’t that. They said it was bromance and it is bromance. Sure its queer coded but thats a whole nother issue but its not queerbaiting babe
@touchofstrangeАй бұрын
@wyngardortega563 sweetie, did I ever say that HSF was queerbaiting? I wasn’t even addressing HSF at all. I was pointing out that the ‘definition’ given of queerbaiting in the comment I replied to was incorrect. And yes, I know exactly what the definition is. Honey-child, if you look up the history of fandom and queerbaiting from the 1990s - early 2000s when it became the topic-du jour in many a fandom… I was there, in those fandoms, engaging in that early discourse. Are you familiar with the phrase: “Don’t try to teach grandma to suck eggs” by chance? 😏

If they are not clear if their next series is bl or bromance, then that will become queerbating. Time will tell. I'm not watching closely, since I'm not interested in bromance and I don't really follow actors or media. But I have seen comments that they have been vaque in their interviews. IF that is real, then it's not cool.

In my opinion, bromance is better than BL. It would be so boring to see drama with same partner all the time. There is no suprise. Let BL actors with others too.

I understand the interchangability of queerbaiting and bromance, especially when there are no censorship issues to contend with but I don't blame the actors. I believe there is a space for Bromance but only if they are willing to have positive lgbtq representation on the same show through other characters. Afterall, bromance does exist in the real world, between close friends. Friends who sleep together, hug and tease each other is normal and so bromace being portrayed onscreen is fine with me. The only time I have an issue is when the show avoids completely any romantic connection or even suggestion between other characters, just to protect the Bromace of the two characters in terms of the show's BL audience. Just as a suggestion for a Bromance series, why not have one of the two characters identify as asexual, and navigate their chemistry through that lens.
