Personally never heard of this one and honestly, it's a bit of a shame it wasn't what it said it was. Working under the tutelage of a hagraven sounds like it could have potential for an interesting build/rp. Hopefully one of these days someone does an actual mod where you actually can learn from a hagraven and expand on it more, sounds like a fun way to introduce new spells to the game and add some flair to magic based builds.

Yeah definitely! I guess my apprenticeship in this mod did teach me one valuable lesson - don't trust a Hagraven... There's a second Strange Friendship mod for Falmer; I wonder if that one will explore things more fully.
@urbanexotic Жыл бұрын
So the mod I'm going to recommend is a lot larger than just hagravens, but I want to mention Dealing With Daedra. DWD includes a witch coven quest hub and arc involving a group of Falkreath witches that you can join, learn rituals and witchcraft, and eventually become a werewolf under the auspices of Hircine completely outside of having to join The Companions. I would *love* to see you cover the various Dealing With Daedra questlines because there are a lot of them and they add a ton of new factions and content. The hubs are pretty basic, as the author isn't good at interior design, but the questlines seem pretty interesting.

Are you really going to review EVERY quest mod? Hell yeah, I'm in!

This Quest mod sounded so bad that I went to the mods 'post' section to see what people have said about it. One person said that with a diffrent dialog choice, they managed to get the white Hargrave to befriend them but when it came time to ask them for apprenticeship the dialog broke anyway. Yeah, not very good. This creator also did another quest mod called 'Strange Friendship II - Falmers' and the few people in the post sections seemed to like it I guess? Not sure if that's worth doing in the future though.🤷
@FormerlyBlue Жыл бұрын
Yeah I saw that post after I got this ending, decided it wasn't worth retrying if the mod was just going to break there anyway! Strange Friendships II will be on my list to get to eventually. In hindsight, I think I maybe should've covered both in this video considering how short this video turned out to be. I'm still experimenting with the structure and video lengths.

There are some really obscure quest mods out there. I'm hoping to find some hidden gems!

I appreciate that you’re already making videos on super obscure quest mods like this one, even if they suck Even if I don’t want to play the mod myself, I’m still interested to see what people have come up with and made into quest mods
@FormerlyBlue Жыл бұрын
Exactly! I think it's still interesting to see what ideas people have had that didn't end up being successful mods.

It's a shame that a concept as fresh as this was undercooked. Though who knows maybe its existence might spark another's inspiration. It is nice having a glimpse at mods (especially quests mods) as well that I might not have seen before. The Nexus is a deep well and even those not on the website. I'm eager to follow along this series with you! I'd love to see you tackle Karaz Gnel Remastered or the recent That Night on the Lake.

Makes me want to learn coding and skyrim modding just so I can do a big elaborate mod involving all the hagravens. I wouldn't use some random cave but the tower where in vanilla you ascend to defeat a witch coven.

Love the content, and there's definitely a need for this sort of thing in the current space. Not sure how you choose what to cover, but have you considered taking a crack at Sirenroot? It'd no doubt be a bigger project, but all of the buzz around it might give you a well-deserved bump.
@FormerlyBlue Жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed! I have a couple videos already in the pipeline, but good suggestion regarding Sirenroot, I may make it my next work in progress.

Can you cover, conquest of skyrim in the future?, It might be buggy here and there but when it works its fun, they also have an additional ElevenLabs voice addon, one that i think is fairly good?, So im curious about your opinion, also new to the channel so im excited to see your new content, best of luck to you

KZbin doesn't like external site links. It won't let me post links to Nexus mods in my video descriptions. Maybe that even applies to comments from other people on my videos?? Don't know, hopefully I'll have enough channel history built up soon to get past that rule.
