The controlled chaos these riders have over muddy rocks is sick. Idk how they steer and control the bike the way they do.

100%. Anyone that’s rode this track also know how steep it is in sections. These guys are truly gifted on two wheels.

You know a track is next level narly when a pack of world class riders look pedestrian on two wheels. That slam at the end was kinda horrific.

That, and the actual screaming in some parts of the video. And the hauling on the brakes to stop just before that second of the two drops. Crazy.

This is by far the best channel for seeing the key parts of track and what lines folk are taking. By far the best footage of practice anywhere!!!! Also really makes you realise how difficult it is. A lot of the details you get from these vids are missed out on the coverage of the finals. Thanks...👍

3:36 the rag on the belt to clean your grips when you eventually fall into the mud.. is a motocross trick I haven't seen for a long time :)

That is some unbelievable mountain biking! Wow! This is next level balance!! The agility, reaction times and strength of those riders is incredible. Great footage John. A little part of me is worried for those riders though. Holy smokes.

That is just ridiculous.. All of it, the mud, the rocks, the mist, the insane level of skill to stay upright over all of that while riding at speed.. Its brutal! The only winner is going to be the last rider standing.. ;)

I love watching DH laps but I cannot describe how much I hate the whistles
@danharvey3096
@danharvey3096 2 жыл бұрын
They're for the riders benefit, not ours.. It's a safety thing. When all the riders are on the track all at once, practicing different sections, stopping, getting familiar with their lines, falling over more because its practice, working out what speed they can hit stuff, & if they can do different lines than planned from track walk day.. Without the whistles the riders would crash into each other & probably literally die at some points.. Complaining about the whistles is like complaining about walking with the pedestrian lights & complaining about the beeping noise when its time to walk. The beeping noise is for the blind who cant see the green man on the lights. In the same note, the riders cant see other riders around blind corners or blind drops at speed. Hence the whistles..

I actually have to agree there that is some pretty epic stopping power.. I wonder if they're Maguras maybe ;) Though i hear Formula are pretty sick too, but i cant comment on Formula myself .. But Loic Bruni rides Magura MT7s for 5 years at least now, as does Danny McCaskill, so they must be alright ;) .. I have Magura MT5s & theyre amazing for the price, awesome stopping power & also modulation. Not the best levers (You can upgrade them) but the callipers are very similar to MT7s. They're a total steal for the $250 nzd i paid front & rear incl delivery UK-NZ from Merlin cycles. I honestly cant recommend them enough, & I always support riders who use them haha! If brakes are like phones then i feel Saint is Samsung/equivalent & Sram is Apple. Magura is a boutique Android phone brand that's actually better but also cheaper..
