If you add roostros to the grove with the chickens, they will start having chickadoos. This works with any chicken type. You also don't get the same rules as keeping them in coops. You can have unlimited chickens free ranging but I like to keep a silo to store extra chickens as well as tuck away roostros for a future hunter corral.

Fypire i've played slime rancher long enough to know how to help others with it. my recommendations for the corals at the lab would be in thus order of largos: Phosphor tabby, Pink Honey, and rock Hunter. if you can't tell the arrangement allows you to make advanced extractors easily and all the foods are grown from the ground or trees not farmed in a coop. id advise you unlock the doorway to the moss blanket before you begin slime science. once you unlock the glass desert and have the blueprints for the master extractors, you should have a coral in the docks with boom mosaic largos. and a coral with tangle dervish largos in the overgrowth. this allows you to easily make master extractors. I am unsure of how to make the tier 4 extractors but I imagine its the same materials just a higher quantity of them. best of luck I hope you found this helpful.

I Also forgot to mention to keep about 10 rad slimes in a in a coral near the lab with 2 of their favorite toys. and for the largos 1 toy for each part of slime they are.
