that water crossing you backed out of it very passable just fyi.it dips down but its all river rock in there not mud , I have gone thru there with a 2wd Tundra. obviously if you dont know that area or that crossong it is wise to not risk it but if you keep going thru there you will get to a very cool swimming area with a bunch of big old trees and whatnot. its more of an ATV road after that point though.

It just seemed a little deep, and I sure as heck didn't want water in the cab. But thanks for the info, it was my first visit to the town. Was always curious about the place. What you describe sounds worthy of another visit, and with the UTV. So Thanks for letting me know.

Mike Donner Yeah for sure a better safe than sorry and the water level did look a little higher than normal right there judging by all the water on the road coming in it probably recently rained. Most people just park right there before the crossing and find a way across if you’re willing to get your feet wet and just cross a little upcreek you can just walk to the spot I’m talking about easy enough but yes definitely worth the trip back with an ATV that whole area has lots of cool stuff to see. Tonto basin is a neat place in general .
