Hi Mark,Grumpa gave a heads up to your channel. My workshop is a bit bigger than yours but I’ve a mobile bench which I like to keep clear for the purpose of marking out etc. To enable me to do so my vice and bench grinder are mounted on 18mm MDF so when I need to use them I take them from the shelf and clamp the to the bench. Hope this idea may be of help in your workshop.👍👍

Thanks so much for all this ingenuity! We rent a small garden flat in London, no shed but access to some cellar space. I'm trying to ascertain ways of making it useable without creating any permanent fixtures- thankfully there's a door directly to the outside, so I can wheel out the table saw etc when it's dry weather, though during the pandemic it seems my neighbours on both sides are working from home, so I'm trying to be a bit sensetive about noise... So I dream of the shed I'd build in the available space, and you've helped! For now I'm taking your wheel castors idea to ponder. Look forward to your future posts! Cheers, Simon

Nice to see your video. In watching I thought of glass jars screwed up below your shelves might clear up some space for you. I look forward to seeing more of your videos it was very interesting
@creepycrawlything2 жыл бұрын
The shelf below the windows would suit that. Screw the lids to the underside of the shelf, then the jars (which could be plastic nowadays, so safer) screw into the lids. Seen this in back-garden sheds all the way back to my maternal Grandpa and Great Uncle (Papa) in the 1950s.

I made it over a year ago now. I used heavy duty draw runners for the sliding table base. You need these to hold the weight. I routed in T track so I could slide the fence backwards and forward using t track clamps. Fixing the router from underneath with a piece of Perspex. Thanks for watching the channel

Hello Mark, Liked & Sub’d as requested - rude not to really after watching & enjoying your ‘Small Workshop Tour’, thank you for sharing your space and your creativity for getting the best out of it… ✅ Believe it, or not, my space (if you can call it that) is even smaller than yours at 2.5m square, so it’s great to see how you are organising to make the best of it. I have a few projects to complete but, when they are done, I will be reorganising to make better use of the space and will be checking back with your progress to ‘steal’ some ideas… 👍🏻

Hi Mark; I’m new to the whole workshop world, but I’m Currently planning on moving form basically a large tool shed with a small workbench and storage to a bigger workshop (similar to the size of yours). After watching and subscribing to lots of amazing woodworkers and diy ‘ers I have to say that this video has given me the most ideas and inspiration For my new workshop. Could I ask what is the height that you settled on for the bench and all the matching units on castors ? Looking forward to checking out all your other videos and learning all the while. Best wishes Nigel
@KAPWoodworkandbuilding2 жыл бұрын
Hi Nigel thanks for watching and engaging with some great comments. It’s really appreciated. My bench height is 91cm. It worked out a bench height that was comfortable for me. I’m 6’1 tall. From there I build the mitre saw station and table saw stations on casters. When building work backwards from the 91cm which is the cutting bed of the saws. So I can use my bench as an extra table. The gate support on the door is the same height again 91cm. I put my bench parallel to the door so I can have long pieces sticking out. You don’t have to be restricted by size to have a great functional workshop space. Watch my first video workshop tour and many others to see how I can build big projects in a small space. Hope that helps All the best with you project Mark
