Anyone who has been to #malta knows that they somehow managed to become the #finance capital and many big companies register there because of the #tax breaks. However, is there #insurance that they will be like this for a long time? According to #science, Malta is one of the countries that could suffer from climate change. Its location has been strategic for a long time, but it is already getting too hot due to climate change.
Malta is small in territory, but impressive with its historical and cultural heritage. Located in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, it consists of three main and four smaller islands. The largest of them, the island of Malta, is densely populated and serves as the center of the country's economic and cultural life. Malta is a country with a rich history that dates back to the time of the Phoenicians and continued through the Roman, Byzantine and Arab eras, right up to British rule, which ended in 1964 with the declaration of independence. Valletta, the capital of Malta, is one of the smallest but most planned cities in the world, built quickly and efficiently by the Order of St. John. Today, the country attracts tourists not only with its beautiful beaches and warm climate, but also with its ancient megalithic structures and rich cultural environment.
The history and #culture of Malta is like a fairy tale come to life, full of myths and legends. According to some, the islands were inhabited by giants who built megalithic temples such as Jeganteia, older than the Egyptian pyramids. Malta also has mysterious underground structures such as the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, where the remains of thousands of ancient people have been found. The unique acoustics of the "Oracle Room" in the Hypogeum is another testament to ancient engineering skills. Today, these archaeological wonders are a major highlight for tourists looking for more than beach and sun. The country combines the ancient with the modern, and is also known for its attractive business environment, making it a center for finance and gambling in Europe.
The Maltese are extremely hospitable and expressive people who live in one of the most densely populated countries in the world. Their lives are governed by tradition and religion, as evidenced by the many churches scattered across the islands. Although the country is small, there are big things happening here, from the rich tourism industry to the fact that Malta is the setting for the filming of many Hollywood movies. Despite limited natural resources, the locals are meeting the challenges thanks to innovative solutions such as seawater desalination. This unique blend of antiquity and modernity, combined with the incredible landscapes and cultural riches, makes Malta one of the most attractive destinations in Europe.
