Thanks Jimmy and Andrew! Bigger wheels are much easier to learn on within reason. I wouldn't go ET Max size but the Inmotion V8 or V10 are ideal. I have watched a lot of actual training sessions done by seasoned riders who have trained many people and they never use the mini wheels (i.e. MTen3, etc.). I have also seen people who learned on an MTen3 or MTen4 have a hard time with bigger wheels while I rarely see anyone that can ride a big wheel have problems on the MTen3. I also own an MTen3 and was happy I learned on a bigger wheel (Kingsong 14D). The lack of leverage because you can't use more of your lower leg and the need to kinda hop unto the wheel doesn't really translate well to the bigger wheels.

Over the years of watching EUC footage. I've always felt like the less raw power the better it was for a beginner. Not having to worry about the machine going wildly out of control, and having a much lower height to risk falling from means lower stress for a newbie. Of course it also makes it good for trying the more skilled efforts like riding backwards or some of the other "stunts" people do that don't involve going 50 mph.
@freshlycharged8 ай бұрын
I agree. But a little more juice would make this so much better… if I could hit 16-18 mph on this, I’d love it!
@greenwave8198 ай бұрын
idk, it's pretty hard to accidentally take off full send, and I've seen people riding backwards at a pretty fast pace... I think the most important thing is weight distribution. I know it is less common with newer EUC, however, some of the older models had more battery on one side than the other making it a bit more difficult to balance.

I suppose this would be a of some help to a college kid who lived on campus. barely faster than walking tho and you'd have to be charging during class or hope if you have back-to-back classes that they are proximal. Now an Mten3 or 4 seem ideal for this purpose. I see the mini as being a novelty or perhaps the definition of a "last mile" wheel.
@EssPhour8 ай бұрын
Its speeds are double that of the average walking speed of a person, and I think the 5-mile range would cover the mass majority of students' day for classes without concerns around charging.
@greenwave8198 ай бұрын
@@EssPhour maybe. prolly true if it is a small school. @180wh you can expect 5 miles of range, with 50-60% of that being at top speed. I lived on campus at a large uni. I had classes 2-3 miles from my dorm, and then what if I had another class right after that was on the side of campus??? nah just to be practical for college you want at least Mten4 range

I love mine, I also have the mTen3, they're same but very different, primarily because of the wide tire/rim combo on the Mini, it could use a few more mph and range like the 3 but I ride mine almost daily for a quick fix around the driveway and even my yard, it's great in grass. I had no issue with connectivity and saving settings. Oh, I put 3 layers of that padding stuff where the wheel meets your shin, it's much more comfy.

Part of the problem with removing the first foot from a pedal is the teeter-totter affect. Subconsciously when we lift a foot we are not expecting the surface to rise up and maintain contact with that foot.

Have the mten3 (with trolley handle a game changer!). It’s great but the small thin wheels make it tram line on pavements that have horizontal ridges in direction of travel, making it twitchy and not the most dependable. If you’re after a wheel to learn on then 100% recommend V8 or v5c or ks14d or bigger wheels. Used probably cheaper than this mini
@TrungNguyenSquallLHeart8 ай бұрын
i would definitely not recommend such a small wheel to learn on... well.. learning more advanced things perhaps, but it's tiny size prevents standard mounting. i learned how to hop on the mten mini and i'm still not that consistent on it. very much a "trust hop" as Jimmy mentioned. the mten mini is really something to just mess around on.
@sayyeddeyyas86348 ай бұрын
It will be harder on the smaller tire. The newer ones with larger tires you can sit or almost sit. That lowers the center of gravity and wind resistance. I learned on a King Song S 22 Pro and it is perfect size tire and allow me to sit so I can hit 30 MPH and above and have control.

They need to just bring back the mten3. It was the tiniest most portable and capable wheel of its time and it still is. The mten4 might also be pretty capable but it's a lot bulkier. You could slip a mten3 into a relatively small backpack but you can't with the mten4 or even this thing

Another banger review video. From a learner's perspective, I have an MTEN4 (45 Km). It's the only EUC I've ever ridden. It's been a bit difficult to learn. But not too much harder than the Onewheel. For saving my shins I put 2 layers of that baby bumper padding stuff along the top. Works great.

@@greenwave819 level 10 is made up, it means to reach limit of wheel, past wobbles, at tilt back. On a small wheel that under 20kph maybe. On a bigger wheel you won't even hit wobbles until your going way faster is an opinion. Wobbles can cause a inexperienced rider to fall. Ask yourself do you want to risk learning that and maybe falling at 75kph. Or at 15kph? I'm pleased I learned on a smaller wheel. Just an opinion.

This vehicle will be generally used for the city life needs (Going supermarket, bus,train or subway station or maybe to make easier the long walks). The ideal weight of the vehicle should be max 2 kg (4,5 lbs), the ideal diameter of the cycle should be max 20 cm (7,8 inch).

That MTen Mini should cost no more than $200 MAX. 10 MPH and 5 miles range is not worth $500. EUCs in general are way over priced. None should cost more than $2500 MAX. Same way OneWheel is over priced compared to EUC and Scooters based on Specs, so is EUCs over priced compared to Motor Scooters They made by cheap Chinese Companies/brands The best EUC have the specs of a 125CC Scooter (60 mph) (125cc Scooter cost between $600-2K, Chinese brands on the lower price range) Have to buy ton of after market things to add to the wheels for them to function And we the Crash Test Dummies...Many things go wrong with these wheels, especially the first couple batches And they lose like $1000 value in a year or so. EX30 sold Brand New for $4000 a year ago, now sells for $2700-3k New... Can't charge me Top Dollar for a Half A** Product and make me the Crash Test Dummy. Yes they are fun, but the juice ain't worth the squeeze...EUC Makers and Dealers please lower the prices
