Even if prisma got chemistry researched, where does he put the siege workshop? How does he pay for BBCs? BBCs are super expensive and 4-5 trebs can probably take it out, if not biry could always kill it with vils since prisma had no defensive buildings anymore. prisma lost that game as soon as he decided to go to imp

A mangonel should outrange a nerfed castle, right? I thought this could be the play against imp and trebs.

That might be true! You would need quite a few of them though: they do 75 damage per shot against buildings every six seconds (in comparison to 450 damage per shot every 10seconds from a treb) The first villager can repair the damage from the first mangonel. After that 2 villagers are needed per mangonel. I hope this useless information will somehow help you😅

@@legendofJuppyou don’t need to take the castle down. Just ignore it and go around the sides. Mango can outrange everything. Repair Vills, a little micro and maybe a scorpion and you’re good

the winning play was mangonel not petard. Mangos outrange castles and those trebs would never have been able to deploy so far forward

He would still lose his castle to the trebs because his opponent had 700 stone to repair he wouldn't have been able to kill the castle before the trebs came out, and with treb attack ground, mangonels are not going to survive in a very confined space.

for that he would need the workshop though, doing petards was easier since he already had the castle in a good position.

@@MaksymCzechyou can ignore the castle. Mangos go around the sides, only house walled. Outrange Tc and Castle so they can just lay waste to vills and trebs as they wish. Just need some protection from vills, so a scorp or your own vills.

It is interesting that even with halve range towers and castle are still the way to. Very curious if at some point a meta with units will develop or if buildings is just the way to go

Nah. They are just too tanky, can be put down quickly and make an impact right away. To say nothing of the space issue. Inf is too weak and costs too much food to do anything, knights are too expensive and too vulnerable to monks, archers are alright but they can't deal with enemy buildings in a reasonable timeframe. This leaves only siege as a viable unit choice as they require no upgrades to be good in Castle Age and are only really vulnerable to other siege and vils.

I think it's a bug that you can steal a farm then delete it. It should be that you have to destroy it by attacking if it's stolen.

No it is not. It has been a feature in the Age series since the first game, and you can even do it in AoM.

I'm not even joking, but BAN towers on these smallest maps, not nerf, BAN them completely. nearly every single match/video turn into a tower war, and i'm properly not the only one that thinks they got real boring after the first 5-6 videos of the smallest map.

Prisma is like... really really dumb... I understand losing the first 2 farms, but the other 2 and then thinking the opponent was not going to do anything after not attacking nor raiding nor building units for a solid 10 minutes is baffling. I wish Biry went against someone better.
