That’s my real issue with Sunfounder. They offer these neat products that are half baked and expect the community to fix the bugs. I have 2 raspads that I bought over the years. They sold the hell out of them promising something great, but failed to deliver on the software end. In the end, they made neat portable Retropie machines and nothing else.

They said it was not for sale but with enough push for it I think they may consider it. I feel like it was a consideration at some point given they went to all the effort of designing and making it to begin with when they could have used a generic case for those pi's and they would have gone unnoticed.

Looks cool, but I’ve been having issues with my PI 5 freezing after 10 min of basic use. I’ve installed 3 different OS updated them and same crap happens. Even switched the power supply. So frustrated with the PI 5, never had these issues with the PI 4.

Screen worked fine for me with 64bit Pi O/S . Some other O/S dont support I2C/SPI out of the box. I think PironMan4 got some community patches so, maybe this will also?

in their GUI called DASHBOARD (install "Pironman 5) there is so much that you can turn on and off and adjust.... page 5, 6 and 7 of there on-line manual give all instructions. Page 6 for installing the gui called DASHBOARD. IT is web based, so have a web browser.... Pg5 5 is how to make adjsutments without the GUI (by Terminal) Pg 7 is how to faultfind your OLED..... provided you have installed "Pironman 5" But do the Pg 6 thing first....Pironman 5 must be installed for th8ings to work in the first p[lace.

Really hoping for a NesPI 5 case personally but this is pretty cool (no pun intended). Glad you like the image man. Tried to stretch it a bit with the Wii (even with an OC it struggles a bit) but hey, the Pi is getting better with each iteration. It runs a lot of arcade now that didn't run well before as well.

pages 5, 6 and 7 of the on line manual relate to the vendor software including an app called "Pironman 5" (pg 6), or how to do the adjustments by Terminal (Pg 5). Page 7 is about commands for faultfinding the OLED. "Pironman 5" has to be installed for OLED to work correctly.... then check the installation of your cable, then run the two terminal commands for faultfinding. Looks like it is reasonably full instructions to me. They may not cure your fault, but supplying the commands gives you the starting point. Providing an online GUI 'DASHBOARD' with SETTINGS (For fans etc) and Log's (Pg 6) is pretty good. Essentially for everything to work as it should, do what it says on Page 6

So, one thing I’d like to point out is that Raspberry Pi’s in general were made for those who want to write their own programming for hardware level automation. Obviously the community has hacked and coded our way into making it really easy to run emulators on the system. Which trickles down to people with less technical ability, and honestly, the exposure is great for the Linux community because of devices like this, but almost nothing is just plug and play with the Linux operating system or the raspberry pi in specific, so griping at the issues with getting Raspberry Pi os to run properly, or the display not working is probably a little misdirected. You're right, it is just a scripting issue, but if you’re not going to write the script to get it functional, then you’re probably not the intended demographic for the product, or the pi in general, which is totally fine, you do you. On another note, this is a really cool product, but it has an abysmal name, and I wish they had not etched it into the acrylic front panel.

the fans are programmable. The steps are, Install your O/S, make sure that you have a web browser installed and working. Install "Pironman 5"... and then you have a nice web based GUI for a DASHBOARD and setting and logs etc. Page 6 of the manual (online) Or do it all by Terminal..... Page 5 of the online Manual. OLED problems, check out Page 7 towards the bottom of that page, they give you a couple of faultfinding commands to check out.

Pages 5 and 6 of the manual. Best is following Page 6 by installing Piroman 5, and then you get a GUI to do those settings. Otherwise follow Page 5 of the manual. It is already sorted out. (Basically you are getting a PI 5 and your selected O/S, but then you have to add a little software for the case and it's functions.) The "Dashboard GUI" is web based, so whatever O/S you install, make sure you get a browser and have Piroman 5 installed. Then it's easy. Page 7 of the manual discusses terminal commands for faultfinding the OLED display. I found the information supplied to be quite reasonable in most cases, but even where there was only a little information, it was a good starting point for any faultfinding

I put my together and it won't work. The only thing I see lights up is the red light at the raspberry pi 5. Took it apart to check the raspberry pi 5 and it works fine. I am using official raspberry pi 5 power supply for Raspberry pi 5. First, I tried putting it off SD card no luck. I also try booted up from two different 256GB M.2 SSD, NVMe1.3 PCIe Gen3 again no luck. Do you have any ideas?

I put mine together yesterday. I had trouble loading it first but reformatted the sd card and installed with modded install and then it worked. Improved from the pironman 4 which was cool but had the power cord coming off the side.

Can the Pi 5 do Playstation 2 and Saturn emulation? Saturn & PS2 have been a breeze to emulate on Pc for YEARS now. Hoping modern emulation has also elevated the Raspberry Pi line too.

If by "gaming" you mean it plays games from the 80's-90's (roms).... than yes, it is a gaming system. But you can play those same roms on your cellphone.

Yeah but it's still fun to emulate on a pi. I've done the same thing myself and hooked it up to a KVM and capture card so I can stream from it. Can't do larger displays on a phone either.
