Don't then already make a hasty conclusion please that it must be that the OP thinks badly about street vendors. You are the first one here making a connection between this man his job and it being lesser. I Got teary eyed as well, because I know it's a fact that in some societies and the one I live in as well that wealth , status and fame are seen as hallmarks of success. It is a sad sad state that people are willing to suffer for other people' s approvement. People let themselves be dependent on that approvement and risk their happiness and freedom.
