Soji's scene cracked me up. The sad truth about characters like Soji is that their exuberant personality draws people in, making them overlook red flags and the more questionable parts of his character, which is why he usually manages to slink and talk his way out of his scams and lies. And can we talk about how Toni Tones is such an incredible actress?? The scene where she reflects on her mum's sacrifices, capturing that intense mix of anger, vulnerability, and pain over her mum's passing before she could enjoy the fruits of her labor is no easy feat, but she pulled it off flawlessly. I really hope she gets the recognition she deserves. Hats off to you, Arese! I can only imagine the blood, sweat, and tears that went into this production, especially with limited resources. I'm rooting for you and everyone involved to reap the rewards soon!

Lara‘s storyline has made me shed so many tears from season 1! And now to crown it with the loss of her mother is gut-wrenching. My mum fell ill on the 1st day of my new high-earning job, after years of toiling. She passed 4 months later. It has been over a decade, but every time I hit a major financial milestone in life, I think about her never truly enjoying the fruits of her labour. I even remember her posting a comment on 1 of my vacation pictures on facebook how I would take her to the U.S.A. Life can truly be cruel!😢

I don’t know why the stereotype is that the firstborn is the one that makes the most financial sacrifices. It is the first to make it and the most generous. I went through decades of draining even from my older ones as the middle child that God pulled up first. They exploited me. My older sister has never done anything for me financially in my life except 2 Ankara blouse and wrapper yet so many just type stereotypes basing it on the popular narrative.✌🏾

@nkiri_abi 🤣🤣... I think it requires more planning and budgeting on our side...we will still be responsible but not trying to be the one to meet everyone needs. So something that might be sustainable is to have a constant percentage of the budget that goes to black tax, so that other areas can also be attended to and none suffers... it will now take a strong will power and dedication to stick to it not allowing anyone guilt strip you into spending what you don't want to. I plan to speak on this and invite people on this on my channel actually, it is a channel for students scholarship but this is also a case that is now common...because people think once you are abroad, you somehow get plenty money in the bank😁. Somebody in Lara's family should have remembered what happened in Eze Goes to School - the elders used Eze's family's assests to hold a lavish funeral without contributing a single penny, and the family went through hell after that. I really hate it when people go over-the-top to bury someone; some people never even owned bicycles in their lifetime, yet society expects their coffins to be transported by horse-driven carriages. And the way the relatives conducted themselves at Lara's mother's funeral was disgusting. You're not there to fill up your tupperware, you're there for a final goodbye. They should be ashamed. And poor Lara has to suffer for their foolishness.

So sad watching the crumbling of Zuri and Tsola's relationship - like whyyyyy? You used to talk about everything before (ngl, I found it a bit boring in S1 but now I miss it LOL). Now in S2, it seems their relationship is being portrayed to be not as full; Tsola isn't sharing his problems with Zuri and vice versa. What happened to the openness and vulnerability we saw in S1? I like to think writing it this way is intentional, reflecting what could happen irl when life is just lifing, and not inconsistencies in their characters just for the sake of drama/plot.

These women are better. Opening up to themselves. Everyone losing burden in each other. Going on therapy, learning new things unlike our girls in Just Us Girls 😂😂😂

African mothers needs to do better and drop this pressure of getting married Not everyone wants to be married and it shouldn’t be labeled as a bad decision and also encouraging their children to go back to a toxic marriage or an unhappy marriage because of what others will say should stop Great episode, very entertaining and educative, amazing series and cast👏🏻❤️❤️

If I am Zuri i will just pack up and quit. Thunder fire Mr Tunde and his threat. Let her quit lets see if the company can get any employee with so much value like her. (Steal their investors, especially Tsola while at it)

Lara could have helped Zuri out financially just like Zuri's aiding her financially together with the others now. She was harsh on Zuri in regards to that in season 1. Life has seasons, we should never forget that. Other than that, she, Soji and Bobby are my top 3 characters of this series. Great job, guys...keep 'em coming.

Where did adesuwa see this soji from abeg? There’s no way a woman like her will attract such a boy because clearly he’s not a man.

A mother’s loss is not one you recover from. Oh Lara I can relate, till date I still find myself chatting with my mom, and it’s been 1 year already, death is so final, nothing prepares you for that silence , continue to rest mom ❤
