Check the link in my bio for product links 😀 After testing this thing for over a month, I can confirm this external fan DOES work. Takes my Xbox from 57 degrees celcius during Elden Ring to 38. It's certainly not nessesary in any normal situation, but that's like saying lights in a PC case are not nessesary and useless too. They still look nice and some of us like pretty acessories 😀 also those in warmer parts of the world and/or have overheating issues could benefit from this as it could help prevent thermal throttling. Thanks for encouraging me to test this one out properly though champions, as I can see other external fans available can be useless and why people would be so sceptical.

I have to take these apart for work and what most people dont see when looking at the xbox series x internals is that yes the heatsink is huge but there is also a solid block of aluminum separating the top and bottom boards heat is not an issue for the series x.

@@TinkerManMick a lot of people on here are say the external fan is pointless but my temperatures stay colder than standard temperatures with the cooling stand. Which I feel really helps when you play at least 6 hours a day on a game like call of duty Warzone my graphics stay on 1440p and 120 fps and occasionally I’ll switch over to standby mode instead of energy save just because I feel like I can run my game a little smoother while having other apps going in the background.

I might get one. It’ll help keep it cool when running higher optimized games requiring more ram usage and with the extra cooling it will prevent freezing and making the console more useful. I haven’t had that issue but hey never hurts to have it just in case.

I bought it some months ago and I'm pretty happy with it. From 50/3 degrees Celsius with lighter games to 33/5. From 55/8 degrees to 35/8 with heavier games. Keep in mind that i use it only at the slowest speed, because it's pretty louder in the 2 fastest modes and it's not worth imo (just 2/3 degrees difference) . Btw sorry for my broken english, it's not my main language as you can see 😅

I got one ,sounds like a jet engine when the temperature touches 35/40 degrees ,but is pretty good,only thing is when you turn up the fan manually just incase your box gets above 42 it makes no difference in temperature drop

I can’t believe all the people in the comments that have never tried this fan and think they know everything. I’ve had this fan for over a year and it has saved my series x. This fan does not blow back in, it is far more powerful than the one in the Xbox and only aids in the cooling process. The lights just let you know what speed it’s running at. I wouldn’t suggest running on auto though, just turn to manual and it works perfectly. I found mine on Amazon and compared it to the other fans I could find there and this outperformed all the rest. Stop all the hate people.

Kinda sad that Xbox Series X runs so hot that cooling attachments like this are all over Amazon and selling well. I get the feeling that it’s true what some experts were saying about this console having a poor design. It looks like it sucks up a lot of dust from the air intake on the bottom of the console, and eventually clogs the inside of the console instead of pushing out all the dust out of the exhaust on top. And also, the holes on top of the console are so exposed, that unless you’re covering your console when not in use, those holes can also get clogged up with dust quickly.

This works really good.. my Xbox would run up to 120 and ever since I got it.. it stays around 95. It depends on the game but it works really good especially if you live somewhere hot like me

Consoles don’t really “need” extra cooling since devs design their games for that specific console, unlike PCs where there’s all sorts of different configurations to consider. Though I guess being able to see the temperature is a neat feature.

I have same fan. It's awesome. Let's me know how hot the Xbox is and let's me adjust the speed of the fan accordingly. I'm still currently testing mine but while playing modded skyrim it sits at about 95 degrees during extended play. After playing skyrim without the fan on the top and just normal play it was around 97 98 degrees so the fan is bringing me down a tad. I was using it vertically but gonna start testing horizontally . I also have that small fan that goes on the back vent that's actaully open. Dunno if that one is any good seems like trash but this top mounted fan is dope

The light is nifty. If possible, see what voltage the fan draws from the USB. Probably between 3 and 5 volts depending on the fan speed and light intensity. The extra draw of energy produces more heat. The factor would be if it can overcome not only the Xbox Series X heat but also the heat from the fan itself. Likely? No. Worth the research to find out the margin of efficiency or lack thereof? A video at least. If it does overcome and cool the console? Pleasant surprise. I want to see someone make a casing for the Xbox Series X with huge heat dissipating fins and see if it improves efficiency that way (to work in conjunction with the console's existing cooling apparatus).

I'm no scientist but I like my xbox fan mounted on the bottom because heat rises and the fan pushes the heat up and out faster. The fan on the top just pushes heat back down into the xbox so heat is essentially just being circulated back into the xbox making things more problematic

Wouldn't it be better to have a fan that is placed below from the slits that are next to the bases and that have concavities to pull air to the rear vents at the entrances, why the Slits at the bottom and on the sides absorb air and at the top they expel it. What this fan does is cover the slit where the air is expelled and the one at the bottom causes the fan at the top to expel air Cooler and faster which means less heat builds up in the slit above

To those claiming this is useless. It's really not. While their is a fan on it, it's moving very slowly and inefficiently due to the way the exhaust is. Having a little extra help to pull the air out will help no matter what. The fan inside the Xbox isn't even 120mm. Smaller than most pc case fans. And it's IN the console a good bit. I think somewhere like 3/4 inches from the exhaust holes.
