One of the most interesting things to me about Smash is the way that the competitive scenes differ internationally, but especially between North America and Japan. Granted the Japanese players had the distinct advantage of knowing DI first early on, but it seems like even today Japanese players play more diverse sets of characters.

It is a very well-done documentary. The only part of it I don't like is the beginning, where it breaks down the most basic mechanics of the game like the viewer has never played Smash before. It's so cheesy. Other than that it's excellent.
