After a competitive athletic event, it is not unusual that the participants will smell sweaty. For some, the smells are associated with defeat, while for others, the same scents are associated with victory. In our passage today, the Apostle Paul will tell us about believers and how we should have the aroma that associates us with Christ. How do you smell?
Truthful communication can be painful at times, and Paul had his share of difficult conversations with the saints at Corinth. Paul shares his heart in this letter more so than any other, and he chose to write to the church in Corinth rather than make a personal visit that would have caused more damage to their relationship with him. Timing is always important! (2nd Corinthians 13:1-5)
2nd Corinthians 2:1-17
Fragrances can jog our memories of events and persons, some precious and some painful. You should be the kind of person that has the aroma of Christ forever connected to your life, so when others encounter you they will think of him.
