7:45 Because Tari and Mario were the focal point of the shot, the cleverly hidden Waluigi never made itself known to me until today! I never noticed it back in 2018 or rewatching that video a week or two ago. So it's a very subtle detail you'd never notice unless you were looking for secrets or Easter Eggs! So it came as a surprise when WOTFI 2018 was leading to the end of a story line involving Waluigi. I started watching SMG4 videos again in February this year, so I'm still confused about the lore. But, I've caught up on the Arcs at least. In fact, the last SMG4 Video I watched was Stupid Mario 3D All Stars in 2020, so the fact I kept up with 3 Arcs for 2 years without knowing they were story lines, was cool Because I kept with the Waluigi, Rapper Bob and Anime Arcs as I was familiar with everyone introduced. It was only after returning in 2023 that I noticed the new arcs: Lawsuit, Revelations, Genesis and YT; as well as the appearance of Melony. Again, I'm basically caught on everything past Meggy's Destiny & Stupid Mario 3D All Stars.

I'll admit that although I have watched SMG4 since 2014, I went on hiatus around mid 2018 to late 2019 due to stuff going on in my life at the time; though I had stuck around for the debuts for boopkins, bob and meggy before that, I had not known about Tari until I returned to smg4 in late 2019, and have stayed up to speed ever since. Suffice to say I was blown away with how much the channel had changed in 1 year, at the time the glitch channel didn't exist yet and meta runner only had one season so it was all on the smg4 channel itself; I distinctly remember both smg4 and Meta runner tari being on the channel banner and being intrigued who this new blue haired character was and why they had a more realistic human version of them, little realising Luke and Kevin had made their own full blown animated series. I was also surprised to see Meggy had been re designed as a human in that time as I had last seen her as an inkling. Suffice to say I binge watched from that point to catch up, and aside from the Mario cafe, this was one of the first smg4 videos I had seen in a long time at the time, and I was mesmerised by Tari's introduction here, be it for being an entirely original character (the previous 3 started out as nintendo reps in a way), or just being a shy gamer gal, plus the whole duck and crane machine obsession. From there I was mind blown when I saw the Mario convention and realised this was part of the Waluigi arc, and the first arc ever on the channel for that matter, that the arc ended with wotfi was unique (before it kept happening from 2020 onwards). It was crazy that there was another arc not long after in the form of Rapper Bob arc, and some older og characters returned in Mario and the Well (Swag and Chris especially appeared more again after that and X and FM returned on and off which was good). And it culminated in that years christmas special which was also unique, plus the whole arc was less apocalypse and more slice of life drama which was a good format. I was especially blown away seeing the reveal of meta runner itself in retrospect, realising that tari was getting her own show with new unique characters, albeit non canon in a separate continuity with a different tari. From there seeing the anime arc with it's multiple plots combing at the end, culminating in desti's death (introduction of permadeath in smg4 characters), and meggy's transformation into a human, and then actually watching the first season of meta runner from there. Suffice to say my entire outlook of smg4 changed from there; where I used to only come for memes and comedy, I could enjoy stories, character growth, slice of life, dramas, apocalypses and overcoming the impossible, to full blown shows, you name it. And fast forward from there to 2020 to see the Meggy movie, Meta Runner Season 2, Meggys own show, and then the final season of meta runner, with plenty more arcs along the way, it's come such a long way. I have all the respect to SMG4 and glitch for making it all happen, but I seriously digress. The bottom line is, this video was revolutionary to me at the time, and very nostalgic to come back to, this and the If Mario was in Splatoon videos 1 and 2 to some extent.
