Ahh, takes me back to my last year of primary school days, and me my friends constantly getting excited for the smiler and this was how I got into rollercoasters which has resulted in me today filming my drone over the smiler, this ride holds a special place in my heart.

Connor clh I'm very sure it is faster. The loops and inversions are a bit less wild, but they are much more intense because of the speed.

Went to Alton towers yesterday, but when we went on at the end of the day, they said they were having 'technical issues', we wanted to go on so we stayed in the queue for an hour and 10 minutes (even though the prediction was 35 mins)! It was worth the wait, but it was so annoying standing in the queue for a long time!

Yeah i was there the other day and it was advertised as a 50 minute queue but we figured that they were only running 3 trains so operations werent the best but then one train got stuck after the first inside inversion for 20 minutes, then nothing happened for about 10, then they tested for about half an hour and overall we waited just over 2 hours

I agree with ya, Rita is the one which makes my stomach turn/tickle the most but Oblivion didnt really do that, its just the fear and sight of the ride that makes you think, holy shit :D btw The Smiler is amazing, we didnt even queue for front row seats, but the guy just put us on them, was unbelievable :D! WAIT A MINUTE!!! The Brits started out in this documentary giving length of the track at approximately 1 kilometer, but then the female added a narrative while she was riding and she gave the speed in miles per hour. I thought England was all metric.

Dosnt really matter, we use both, miles per hour when talking about speeds etc but either metres or kilometres when it comes to distance. Just depends on the scale of that distance which is used... Its really just personal preferance however you are correct, everything is basically metric.

Why can't you just be normal? xD You just don't understand what's going on as much when the rest of the world is talking. And in the UK we use the metric system. So we say degrees celcius, use grams and kilos and say miles and miles per hour. I don't even know how heavy a pound is or how far a kilometer is. Which is annoying when we drive over the border into Ireland and you don't realise you are actually in Ireland and everything is in kilometres. It's stupid xD

I actually agree with the other person. Nemisis still has something about it that makes it just that bit better. Adding in loops and effects doesn't always make it better. We were chatting with staff and even they all agreed that Nemisis was scarier, one said just the 'chucking' sound it makes while going up was enough to scare him x'D
