'Cause I want the one I can't have And it's driving me mad It's all over, all over, all over my face On the day that your mentality Catches up with your biology I want the one I can't have And it's driving me mad It's all over, all over, all over my face A double bed And a stalwart lover for sure These are the riches of the poor A double bed And a stalwart lover for sure These are the riches of the poor And I want the one I can't have And it's driving me mad It's all over, all over my face A tough kid who sometimes swallows nails Raised on Prisoner's Aid He killed a policeman when he was Thirteen And somehow that really impressed Me And it's written all over my face Oh, these are the riches of the poor These are the riches of the poor I want the one I can't have And it's driving me mad It's written all over my face On the day that your mentality Catches up with your biology And if you ever need self-validation Just meet me in the alley by the Railway station It's all over my face Oh...

5 years after the death of ian curtis, 5 years before my birth. I could easily say this is the best concert the smiths ever played, but That would be a grossely ignorant statement to make on the grounds that I wasn't around to witness them in action.. I wish Morrissey and Marr would make up and tour again. Sadly, some doors are never opened after being shut abbruptly out of anger..

Marr said he brought it up to Morrissey when they met at a pub and the latter sounded disinterested. He said that they were quite friendly but soon after that they stopped talking again. I think some friendships are just like that, you aren't terribly invested in eachother like before and it burns away. Marr mentioned he wanted to make music with him and reform in the conversation. As a huge fan of these guys that sounds like a disappointing idea. The band can't follow up their old work because they have to live up to something bigger than just the music alone

What do you mean? I feel like people just say old music is better than new music now without even thinking about it. It's almost like an automatic response to listening to any song older than maybe 20 years. For some reason you can't say it's good without also saying that new music sucks. You think bands don't sound good live anymore? do you never go out to watch live music?
