The funny thing is that there actually was a bit of a identity crisis within the band. Morrissey often spoke his opinions about how to present but the band members did not always agree hahah

This is my favorite smiths video ever because it’s such a mess 1. The music starts before Johnny starts playing and he acts like nothing happened 2. Morrissey doesn’t even have a microphone 3. Something really funny happens at around the 2 minute mark, if you pay attention to Andy around that time you’ll see it 4. The instruments aren’t even plugged into anything 5. Johnny just altogether stops playing at the very end and starts dancing

Lone Ranja Yes, there were plenty of flowers and petals. But the point of having them in his back pocket was because there wasn't mic equipment for live singing. So, he wanted to show the crowd what they were actually getting. Pretty neat if you ask me. I'm not sure what you're getting at.
@miguelpow266
@miguelpow266 5 жыл бұрын
@@michelleyanakis8510 I think his point is that he's no replacing the mic with flowers. He usually had flowers while singing even when he had a microphone. I agree that the fact that he didn't want to hold a mic is cool though.
@michelleyanakis8510
@michelleyanakis8510 5 жыл бұрын
@@miguelpow266 Everyone knows he sang with flowers frequently, but this show specifically is what I'm talking about. There's even information you can look up about it. Morrissey was supposed to sing live and didn't. So, that's why he did what he did in this show.

Until this post only a 1min 30 sec of the performance was made available in 2010 and now it is complete. So, many thanks to unveil this rarity from the vault!

Holy shit, Andy looks 13 here. His bass lines added *almost* as much to their sound as Johnny’s guitar. Between him and Mike (the “rentals”), it’s really sad that he settled out of court instead of getting his due cut of the band’s financial successs.

So very very sweet.... 💖💖💖....what a voice, what a spirit ✨.... Moz is the most outstanding artist and bestlooking man of the Universe. Every tune of Jonny Marr‘s guitar is like a sparkling perl.... I‘m crying, cause I‘m so sick that the very inspiring 80’s are.... forever..... gone.... ✨✝️✨

when I was in HS, I never listened to The Cure, The Smith's, or Morrissey, I was more of a metal head. The majority of my friends were into this music, going out to house parties or clubs, this is what was played, I went along because well house parties and clubs. Now as an adult, I find myself appreciating their music more and more.
