Unfortunate the cat was probably crossbowed first before the feeding, like the other cats that got crossbowed in that area. (I used to live there at the time).

The snake owner shouldn't have left his snake unattended in the backyard...especially for that long. Snakes are escape artists and it could've gotten out. When my snake is out for a stretch, I NEVER take my eyes off him...especially outside. If he disappears on me he could get killed or die from exposure or starvation. Not to mention, the liability issues in case he did bring harm on a person or pet. Its common sense and being a responsible snake owner not to leave your snake unsupervise when its out of its enclosure. Aside from that, I agree that cats shouldn't be allowed to roam. Anyone who allows their cat to run loose is taking their chances that the cat could be killed by a car, coyote, dog, or any other predator. Cats kill native wildlife, trespass into people's yards to making a mess (shit, hair, and clawing yard furniture), stealing food out of dog bowls, and add to the feral cat problem. There should be laws about banning roaming cats. In this case, both the snake and cat owner were irresponsible, but its not fair to punish all snake owners. Not all of us are this careless.

That's my concern too. If he could get out into the garden and kill someone's cat, what's to stop him escaping from the garden and attacking someone's children in a neighbouring one? But on cats' right to roam, I agree about thjat too,. I don't like the fact that I have to clean up cat shit after a neighbour's cat has wandered into my garden when I hadn't invited him there. I thigk the reason it's tolerated is because so many people are cat lovers.

Don't let your cats go outside without a leash, or just raise your cats inside the house. I hate these cat-owners who pretend that they are victims. The cats are indeed the victims, but not the owners. Owners should make sure that their cats don't go to other people's properties. Same for the snake owner and the unfortunate cat was in snake's property. The cat and the snake are not guilty.

love the ignorance of unresponsible pet owners! these people let their fucking cat roam and destroy native wildlife and got upset when their cat falls to prey its self. these people need to accept aroaming cat is a bad cat and if you let your cat outsite there is always a very good chance it never will come back home one day for what reason ever! they get run over by cars, fall to prey to native predators like coyotes, wild boars and hawks or just get shot by someone they used his kids sandbox as giant litterbox once to much. keep your fucking cats inside and no one gets hurt! ;)

so people have to keep their cats /dogs inside just to a let a huge snake roam outside free no bloody way these things belong in a Zoo not a back garden ,if its was my cat i would make the the snake regurtitate its meal back up as the cat owners have the right to bury their animal imagine what it would do a toddler?
