* "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City" is a R&B song, written in 1974 by Michael Price and Dan Walsh, and first recorded by Bobby "Blue" Bland for his 1974 album "Dreamer".
A well-known cover of the song is by the hard rock band Whitesnake, who included it on their 1978 debut album, "Snakebite", and again as a live 1980 recording on "Live... In The Heart Of The City". The cover was the new band's first hit, and it became a staple of their live set.

For all those who say any guitarists other than Marsden and Moody were the 'best Whitesnake guitarists', this is why these two are the best. Not because of technical showboating, but because of soul.

Yes, as it turned out, the Voice can be fully replaced, but these Guitars cannot. Another Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody project, this time with Tony Martin. I have to admit this is the closest voice to Coverdale I have heard, but there still is something missing. This is not Jorn's natural voice. He is just aping David. Very well, but still. I agree these were the best soulful and bluesy musicians Coverdale ever worked with, but it took the entire package of these musicians with David, to make their true sound. If The Snakes were as good, then The Snakes should have gone onto achieve as much commercial success as David's later Whitesnake. I know he went more hair metal to get more famous, but there was good quality work in the 80's too.
