I recommend if you don't already have one, get the SNES Classic console and mod it...or don't...It has an awesome collection of games already preloaded, but you can add every game you ever wanted on it. That's what I did, and I love it. It feels just like playing the real thing except you don't have to mess with the carts. It's not a good substitute for physical collectors, but if you just want to play the games then it's almost perfect. The emulation is only off by a few milliseconds, so it's almost impossible to notice unless you're doing a side by side comparison with an actual cart.

The thing i used to do is go to a stationary platform that will not fall and stand very close to the edge. When done correctly after the fuel gauge hits empty, Diddy does his rage/failure animation, throwing his hat off the cliff and jumping off the cliff after it to stomp on his hat . XD

“U.N. Squadron” has that art style because it’s an anime game: it’s the “Area 88” game. For some reason, they changed the name when both the arcade game and the SNES port were released here. I think maybe they thought that people would think that it’s a game where you fight aliens.

SnipingIsFun I don’t think so. Everything else about the game is intact: character likenesses, character names, etc. If you’re thinking that there was already a property by that name here... maybe, but I doubt it. 88’s such an arbitrary number that it doesn’t seem very likely.

I personally need to thank you. I'm from a younger generation (currently 25) and though my first system was a ps2, my favorite system ever as a child was the gba sp. I had burger time, pokemon special pikachu (that one lead to a grudge to this day against my brother for saving over my game), pokemon saphire, Mario kart, amongst many others. Unfortunately that system broke long ago and many games went to salvation army. Fast forward to a few years ago and I get the urge to play those games I enjoyed as a child and looked at your start collecting guide to see what else was out there. That was my introduction to your channel and I've been a fan ever since. Older systems always intrigued me, to see were many systems started, many great systems that lost the race, and the early stages of the icons of today. You've given me many many great titles to look into for starting a new collection or adding to an old one. You've opened many doors to systems I missed as a child. One of my favorite systems I "missed out on" has been the snes. I love chrono trigger, kirby, and Mario kart. It's always a blast to break out mk3 or super bomber man at parties. Plus many more titles I undoubtedly would have missed had you not introduced them to me. So thank you for your advice on things to look out for, mistakes I could make, hidden gems I should hunt, and rarities I should keep on eye or for.

I first started playing the snes when I was 4 and half years old. My mom would take me over to my grandmas thru the week while she had to work. My Uncle had the snes I can remember the day he came in with it brand new. I would show up early in the mourning's and I would play Donkey Kong, Super Mario world 1 and Super Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island. This was back in 1994 or 1995.. Lol I can remember He would get upset because I could beat the games being that young and he had such a hard time with them. I finally got my own snes around 98 I got the smaller version and ever since have been collecting when I can. I have around 75 of the very best games from all 3 Donkey Kongs, Contra 3, Super Castlvaina, Super metroid, All the Super Mario's and All stars, Turtles in time,Total Carnage, Zombies ate my Neighbors, Actriser 1 and 2. Booger man. Etc.. Man recently I beat Super Mario World 2 because it had been years took me about 6 hours I had a blast with the memories. Ironically, I got a call the next mourning from my Mom that my Uncle had died the previous night of a massive heart attack at the age of 59. I've been devastated over the past week. Tonight I played and beaten Super Mario World in his memory. Can't believe he's gone ill hold on to those memories and I'm thankful that he brought the Snes into my life. The Snes will never die it's in the top 3 consoles for me of all time. Thanks for such a cool video it brings it all back... I'll be a retro gamer until Game Over.. Rip Uncle Dennis 😞

Rock and Roll Racing was an absolute gem on the SNES. Trying to remember some of the songs that featured but my memory is failing. Still to this day though I'll hear songs on the radio and know my first time hearing them was in that game. As a kid o didn't know they existed outside of the game!

Even if you didn't grow up with a SNES I don't understand how someone couldn't like it. Its library is full of some of the best games of all time from some of the best series' of all time. Ian from the CUPodcast is one of the most outspoken KZbinrs who just doesn't like the SNES. I mean, that's his prerogative, but I feel like he's trying a bit too hard to be contrary to popular opinion. He just strikes me as the type of guy who will go out of his way to not like something that the vast majority of people like, or the other way around.

When I was a senior in high school my friends and I would hang out at another friend's older brother's apartment and he had DKC. Unfortunately every time I would make it over my friends would be playing it, but when I got there they were ready to do something else, so I literally never got a chance to play the game back in the day. I didn't play it until years later, and I've never played past the first couple of levels. It's a shame because it looks like such a great game. One of these days I'll play it and do a review on it as someone with a relatively fresh perspective on the game.
