Socrates was correct about questioning those in charge. So many people nowadays just blindly follow whatever government says.

Socrates was a man of integrity, and he for sure rejected Athenian ideals- beauty, money and also democracy which is likely the actual reason he was put to trial. The general idea of this video is great, although I don't think it represents Socrates or even the socratic method very faithfully (if you read the dialogues, the way the questions are put forward is very leading, and there's almost never any pushback from the assumptions Socrates held- it's quite frustrating)

Plato wrote these dialogs but I agree with you.

According to Schopenhauer, only a primitive man jumps into decision and action immediately, as he isn't able to fully comprehend the situation. The intelligent man, on the contrary, understands the risk but may resort to indecision. Only an intelligent man, who possesses the needed degree of courage is able to deliver to most effective result.

Just DOING has a higher probability of ending in FOLLY &/or TRAGEDY than thinking logically beforehand. A human thingy, obviously not so for viruses and other "non-rational -thinking" life-forms.
