i read the whole book in a day, it was so addictive! I agree that we all crave that (almost) impossible to achieve almost magical bond Achilles and Patroclus share and that's why we enjoy these types of novels so much! I think we can all agree Patroclus is 80% of Achilles impulse control 😂 I cried like a baby for hours after finishing lol

It's....not an erotica. It has erotic elements that enhance the story, not the other way around. If you break it down, maybe 0.5% of this book is do with sex.

Very true. 'Enhance' is a good way of putting it, I think the erotic elements sweep you through the book

I highly highly disagree with labeling this book anything near "erotica"

I understand your points about the overly perfect love. I'm reading Othello (year 13 literature no by choice, though I am enjoying it) and the relationship between Othello and Desdemona is very much in the same vein, though I think its intended to be more symbolic given the stories foundation in Greek myth.

Great review. I was unfamiliar with this title until your review popped up recently & now it’s popping up before me everywhere. Decision made, book to be purchased during next bookstore visit (or even online shopping tonight). As for the fanfic, is it: ⛰🌴🏄 🌊 5/0? That’s the only one I’m even remotely aware of 🤔. Love your enthusiasm & analysis as ever 🥰

I LOVED Circe. Did you read it/ how do you think it compares?

I read circe before the song of achilles, and hands down the song of achilles was far better. Circe was amazing, but the song of achilles really hits hard

Hi there, I have a question... Have you read The Iliad? I just genuinely don´t get the giggling when it comes to the relationship between Achilles and Patroclus and umm... Erotica? This book? Really? Maybe read some of A.N Roquelaure books to have a taste of what erotica truly is. (I say all this with love, I am not in any way being a troll to you, but the giggling, in the beginning, was a bit off-putting, sorry).

You look much different from how you looked 5 years ago. Also the audio quality is better. I hope you become more successful.

Impossible romantic expecations...great hahahaha I totally agree with you, people have flaws and bad days...so perfect couples don´t exist. Or at least I don´t think they do.

I would no way describe this as erotica. Couple of scenes and even those were mild
