I realize now that a lot of these lyrics came true, Like "My Girl, My Girl remember the burn When rains froze and snows did kill We fell and fell and danced along Through icy hell to their winter song." Anyone else think this is basically saying how Sefni's motivation is the horrid colds the obsidions endured, and then describing that they 'danced along' to a story told by the golds and formed their own way of life, similar to the song of reds. Then it says: "My Love, my love remember the cries When winter died for spring skies." Like reminding Mustang of how Ragnar died for the future of his people and the Rising (she was there for it and spent a whole lot of time with Ragnar right before it, so I'd figure that's also a big motivation for Mustang, sense his sacrifice was basically the essence of the Rising and was part, if not most, the reason that probably convinced her to stick with it.). Idk, I feel like now I need to look in depth to the song and just pull it apart.

I would love to see this song paired with the moment Darrow and Eo are stripped away from each other, with the lyrics "Hear the reaper swing" paired with a shot of Darrow's pure rage on his face, as we see the monster within come to life.

I am no film writer, but if I was, on the episode intro song for the upcoming series that I hope to God does not flop, it would be like this: It begins with the lyrics and I would show the world we know today to divide into 20 empires and the forming of the colors, when she sings of we fell and fell is where I would show the conquering of Earth showing the Luna forces burn Terran Fleets out of space as they glitter on reentry to the atmosphere, then show the slow terraforming of Mars when she sings the refrain the vale then show the Burning of Rhea, of the Reaper refrain it shows the Lune crest shattering the Raa Dragon. then when she sings of the chill, snows and icy hell, I would show the Obsidian uprising that failed and the banishment of their kind to the frozen wastes of the planets, when she sings of roaring and roaring and grabbing seeds, I would show silhouettes of Reds being put in the mines and later dismantling mining equipment and being hanged for it, when they ascend to the vale she sings of the chains and reins, and of the vale again, on the refrain of the Reaper swinging, the camera descends into a canyon in Mars to the Lykos mine as it zooms through the town, past the flush and down the elevator to a mineshaft and just as you see the faint glow of a drill it cuts to the Title Card of "Red Rising" as the words expand like a Haemanthus blossom How'd I do? I know the uprising of Obsidian happened BEFORE the Burning of Rhea but I couldn't leave that detail out with such a perfect lyric, so I would sacrifice a small chronological detail than forfeiting it entirely in the intro showing the history of Gold

It's a really cool idea to show the history of the Society's formation and rule during the opening! And the imagery of the events you selected would fit the lyrics perfectly. And as the seasons progress, Darrow's exploits in the previous seasons could be added onto this historical canon maybe. Nicely done, mate 😁

@@WhereDaydreamersGo Thank you, I just hope to Jove the tale of the Reaper doesn't flop, this is not some tale to be sold out, this is a rarity that deserves every focus and detail to be told on screen as it has on the page word for word and detail for detail. This tale deserves to be in its purity from the mines of Lykos to the Metropolis of Tyche

You know what is worst? If you imagine you are the protagonist in books (in this case Darrow) AND you fall in love not long before reading it. Well, I imagined I am Darrow and my girlfriend is Eo... Big mistake. Just dont do it. Otherwise, you will feel the same as me. Anyway, incredible well done

Haha oh dear. Does it work with you imagining your girlfriend as Mustang instead? Thank you very much.

Yeah, unfortunately I noticed the mistake after I published and was unable to change it short of taking the video down and reposting, which I was (short-sightedly) unwilling to do at the time. It's been annoying me for about 10 months now, but I'm just glad that the lyrics themselves are right! Thanks for commenting.
