I think following up on more Delain can't lead you wrong. I first heard them when they opened for Sabaton and Nighwish. They hooked me from the first song, and this is one of my favorites!

Every time I see this video I just love how the entire band headbangs in unison, but Marko bangs to his own time - the up beat not the down beat! Classic.

A couple more Delain performances with Marco Hietala "Nothing Left" Live "Sing to Me" live in Silver Springs, MD (Silly Marko, strange choise of attire, but the crowd loves it.) Marco will be featuring on the new Therion album, to be released January 22nd, on the song "Tuonela". In an old interview Marko told several female fronted bands ask him for collaboration. He said something about the beauty and the beast.

Marko is definitely not just a backing singer - try to hear him in NW cover of Pink Floyd High Hope, or the Islander Live @Tempere, or While the lips are still red Live @Wembley. Delain is an awesome band. I personally like them very much, too, and Charlotte has a very beautiful voice. I would suggest listening to "We are the others" by them.

Delain is one of the usually overlooked bands, so I'm glad that you did a reaction to them! :) If you'd like to see Marko Hietala and Floor Jansen share the stage with Delain, years before Floor joined Nightwish, you might want to take a look at 'A Day For Ghosts', live from the Broerenkerk in Zwolle, The Netherlands.
