What astounds me with this one after listening to it a number of times through the day, is that I think the beat steals the show for me here. I'm new to rap (since Hi Ren), I'm not used to thinking of the backing track as something separate from the vocals but it seems like that's how people talk about rap? Anyway. That beat is absurdly catchy, and something about it is really unexpected. Almost like the melody for a bit of soundtrack to an art film about a quirky European teen or something, lol. Wouldn't have imagined a rap song or a pop song or a rock song being built on top of it, but it sure works for Prof (& Ren) here.

I had a new career as a train conductor that took up a year of my life and I lost the job and there are no other jobs for that in my area.
