"The Songkran water festival in Thailand was so crazy! It was really fun! In Bangkok, the road closures for splashing water only happen for three days in April. These include Silom Road (GAY headquarters), Khao San Road (backpacker hub), Royal Field (local favorite), and shopping districts like Siam Square (where you'll find many celebrities and great photo opportunities). Which one is your favorite?
After the festival, we planned to eat at our favorite spicy spare rib soup place, but it was closed for the holiday. We ended up randomly trying a Hainanese chicken rice place by the roadside, and surprisingly, it was quite good. Later, we found out it was a Michelin-rated street food spot.

Additionally, we switched to another hotel away from the water fight area. We've stayed at this hotel several times; it offers great value for money, and the best part is, it's directly connected to the Central Ladprao shopping mall and the BTS Skytrain station.
