You can't relax with this sound. Your system is drilled to watch out for leaking spots, Is the tent on a spot high enough so we will not have to remove it in the middle of the night, do we have enough food to stay over a full day, is my book almost finished, oh no I have to pee etc .....

I think people have different expectations of what rain on tent canvas sounds like. Or what sounds a wooden ship make. Or whatever. I spent some time in the military, and I'm fairly certain this isn't the exact same sound as our tents made, probably because the material is different from most commercial tents. The sounds are still interesting, but I'm sure some people are willing to dismiss them as fake or weird because they do not line up with these people's experiences (or, lacking experiences, expectations). Besides, the dislike button is supposed to be a feedback mechanic. It's an important tool for content producers. It doesn't necessarily signify any ill-will. If you think the content was poorly made you should be encouraged to use the dislike button.

I cannot find anywhere the true muffled sound of rain as it is heard from inside the home. You know, that low pitched but constant heavy rain on rooftops all over town but it's really muffled. No matter how much I try to stay awake to enjoy it, that's what puts me to sleep! Why hasn't anyone thought of that yet? Surely I can't be the only one that loves that kind of rain! The crisp trebly sound of rain/droplets makes me think there's a leak somewhere in the house. I don't like it. I like it muffled because it's cozy and I need to have that reassurance that it's all happening outside and it will stay outside. ;)
