The harsh-sounding yet interesting pronunciation of this Rhaeto-Romance language may be the legacy of the original Rhaetian substrate language. Roman authors of antiquity described Rhaetian as a rougher and harsher sounding version of Etruscan. Nothing to do with any Germanic influence then.

Great video once again! I would like to hear my local language called Lahanan which is nestled in the Sarawak region of Malaysia and there are only 100 speakers left. I beg you if you can do it. Then I wanted to hear Slavic languages like Serbian and Croatian because it is essentially a language divided into 4 dialects they consider to be separate languages h and I would love to hear. I have heard the Macedonian language 🇲🇰 the past which now is my favorite slavic language.I also have heard that a region in Greece is also called Macedonia and I am curious about how these people spoke .... did they speak Slavic dialect or a Greek dialect? Cheers from Sarawak in Malaysia!🇲🇾 I do not want to look rude to you but I want to hear these languages very much.😇😇 I love you channel 😍😍😍

Email them with the email provided in the video description, 1-10, common everyday words and phrases in that language and something in the sample text. Also other additional information like language family, specific branch, word order, specific region in Sarawak where it's spoken, and no. Of native speakers. Also hi from Kuching fellow Sarawakian.

Excellent post as usual! Thanks for bringing these languages up to us. I noticed that the guy in the video didn't roll the "R" as an italian. Is it a specifity of ladin? Thanks for your answer
@nicolocrippa85144 жыл бұрын
No, it's because the speaker has a German influenced accent. Ladin from Sudtirol can sound more or less "German" depending on the area and age of the speakers. Ladin from Trentino or Veneto doesn't sound German at all and has rolled "R" like Italian.
