The sounds of conga - open, slap, heel-toe

in this video we are going to talk about the most important sounds we can make on the conga. with these techniques we can preety much play any rhythm on this instrument. this is also a very good video if you want to play handdrums in general (timbau or djembe), as the techniques aren't very different in a basic level. in this video we are going to talk about talk about the high pitch sound, known as slap; the mid to low pitch sound, known as open tone and the heel toe technique.

I've already said but i'll say it one more time, this channel deserves much more viewers! It's really hard to find information with this quality really showing the right way to hit the instrument and even the correct posture to stay safe in a longterm, thanks buddy! How do you know when to hit a slap or a close slap? Do you use Close slap more for slowly rythms or you can use a close slap for something fast like barravento or congo de ouro?
