Hi. Watched this again recently and continue to be impressed by: 1. Beautiful scenery 2. Your working through the difficulties of the weather. I didn't mention this in the previous comments, but I lived in England from May, 1963 to Jan. 1966. My Dad was stationed at RAF Alconbury (US Air Force). We lived in St. Ives and Warboys and went to American schools on base. I had good English friends, and loved being there. I was ages 10-12 so was old enough to enjoy and understand what I was experiencing. I recall seeing signs for "Public Footpaths" and even at that age, had an early desire to hike. As an adult, I started hiking in 1972 and since 1992, have been section-hiking the Appalachian Trail. I'm about half way and now at age 70, still love hiking. I look forward to viewing more of your hiking videos of the trails in the UK. My AT hikes are documented on my channel in the series "Walking in Creation, Hiking the Appalachian Trail". Hoping you have a very blessed 2023... God Bless!

Lovely video guy. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Looks like a real mixed bag of weather? Of the tracks you’ve done, EHW, Glen Way, WHW, C2C, Hadrians wall and SDW, how would you rank them. Favourite to lease favourite?
@GETtwoIT4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Jamie! Wow, that's a hard one, ranking trails. We have found every trail enjoyable. Each trail is unqiue and has it's own appeal and set of challenges. It ultimately depends on what you are looking for and what the trail can provide As you've already seen, the weather can have an affect how challenging a trail can be. If we had to rank them now, it would be : -C2C -WHW -EHW -Hadrians Wall -SDW -GGW

I discovered Topo shoes a few months ago - my feet are so much happier in them compared to Altras! Katie, what's your strategy for looking after wet feet on multi-day camping trips? Did your shoes dry out overnight?
@GETtwoIT3 жыл бұрын
Katie: "I always keep a dry pair of socks for the evening and to sleep in. Many occasion we have had wet socks and shoes and had to put them back on the next day, pretty grim. Take advantage of drying rooms, any break in the weather air the feet, hang the socks up in the tent .. we often have a clothes line up inside the tent ... they wont dry but lets air get to them. Take care of the feet, look at them regularly." Check out our website get-two-it.com for more info on our hikes.

Sorry to ask- but how do they differ to Altras? I’m just about to purchase some Altras but I’m the most indecisive person and worry about making the wrong decision 😂
@GETtwoIT3 жыл бұрын
@@harleyjade9477 The Altras are zero drop, whilst the is a 5mm drop (heel to toe). This gives us more cushioning and comfort on a walk. The zero-drop in Altras can a while to get used to. Also, In our view, the topo's feel a little more substantial in quality and more hard-wearing.
@clairewilton61423 жыл бұрын
