Marvellous Abbie and....what a great feeling it is to witness the world rushing to school and work under your feet on a Monday morning when you don't have to 😊👍

I grew up on the South Downs Way ... It went through our farm, passed our garden gate, but I've still not walked it ... I will one day ... You've inspired me again Abbie!! :)

This brought back memories of when I solo walked the SDW in June. I want to do another longer walk and your videos are a true inspiration :)

@@AbbieBarnesWILD where did you sleep? I want to do the walk but holiday firms are asking upwards of 700 quid!

Great, we watched your full version too. It's on my list for when I retire in two years. We visit UK every year and the South East is home, but time is taken up with looking in on family and short walks. I look at your smiling face in the video and it echoes my emotions when I am walking. Nothing beats it, especially when I can see the sea!

Enjoy it! Short walks can be good too but they are definitely different. Stay WILD! Abbie

I was lucky enough to retrace some of the S.D.W. this year, which I walked the full length over 20 years ago, thanks Abbie for your shortened version this time, it reminded me of some happy memories.

I walked it last year with a mate. Absolutely wonderful. We are walking her big sister this year (north Downs way)and hopefully the big one in Spain in a couple of years time.

Great job! I live very near the South Downs Way and have been privileged to walk many parts of it, but never the whole thing. Maybe it's about time I did.

Planning to do South Downs Way this year. I've done few and I love The Cotswold Way but which is your favourite national trail Abbie?
@AbbieBarnesWILD Жыл бұрын
Hmmmmm.. I love them all for different reasons! But the SWCP is epic 😎

how do you pick your walks and know how hard or easy they are and do you have to walk all the way back (prob a silly question)
@AbbieBarnesWILD5 жыл бұрын
I pick them based on places on interest and amount of things to share, and how far they are away etc. A lot of them are walks I do all the time anyway :) Usually I don't know how far they are, but if my car is somewhere and I am some where else, I just have to keep going!!

is wild camping accepted on the trail? love the short videos btw

Not really around this area. It quite urban. Although you could probably get away with bivying!
