Tis nice to listen to a beautiful tune played so well like this 8 years after it was made from the land of the rising sun, as an Irish expat. There is a warmth expressed in the music which captures the Irish spirit. It makes me want to catch a flight back home indeed.

@@dulahanirl so good to see younger folk carrying on and passing on our traditions. In England that is not so easy, as the media seen to treat our traditions like a joke and something to look down on. There is no provision at all in the school curriculum. Hey ho. .... I'll at least I will have done enough to leave a few new tradition bearers behind me when I go, and they will 'inherit' my instruments keep playing and enjoying this great music!

Greetings from your kinsman in the US. I am a beginning fiddler and notice that you are using cuts and grace notes in your playing of The South Wind. Can you offer some tips to me on how to play cuts and perhaps how long it took you to learn vibrato (that's a hard one). By the way, your recording of this song is the Best!
