I picked up the newer version of this deck a few months ago & have decided to use it as a starting point for my exploration of the TdM. With all due respect to the Rider-Waite system I began Tarot with, the TdM is so much simpler & there is not that nagging feeling of needing to buy just one more book in order to expand my interpretations of the cards. The lack of pictures on the pip cards is actually of benefit as it stimulates one's own creativity & intuition, IMHO. Keeping an eye out for one of the vintage decks but already sensing some meaningful insights & possibilities with the newer deck I have. Great video!

Thank you for this flip through Kasia. You have convinced me to find and buy a vintage copy with the more delicate colour palette rather than the darker current version with ochre skin tones. I love the appearance of this, particularly the blues of the sword pips.

This is actually really gorgeous in color palette! I'm not a huge fan of wood-cut style decks but this one is really lovely!

KASIA! Haha. We do have the same taste in decks. Just before your live, I watched a card stock video by Nancy Texas Rose, and she showed the Spanish Tarot right at the end. I only saw a flash of color, so after your lice, I searched for a walkthrough. And look who popped up first? Lol. I’ll take it as a synchronicity. This deck! I love the colors so much, especially in the pips. I had no idea it was also based on a historic deck. I’m even more enchanted by it now. I can almost see the flamenco dancers, hear the Andalucian music, and taste the spices in the air through the vibrancy of the festive colors. It’s like a Carnival TdM! Thanks so much for sharing this. I’m going to look for a vintage edition first. And if I can’t find one priced well for me, I think the Lo Scarabeo one will work for me, too. (“”)BearHugs(“”) Chris
