Wow. Brother is really into his wife but his wife is so disconnected. She continues to draw on excuses over and over again and cannot be straight up with her answers. I was waiting on her to say that. That is/was the problem with my wife. However there are solutions like lubricant and things to help at least with the dryness. Despite that fact, you can't make your personal issues a permanent problem. Meaning we might have to cut back on the frequency of sex, but at the same time, we are not going to stop all together. There are women who have sex during menopause. Plus any woman knows that she better give her husband some or some other woman will. I went over a year without any sex or kisses. Then she wondered why I started treating her like a roommate.

@AaronHill before you go treating her like a room mate,please educate yourself. Although there are lubricants that will help with moisture,lubricants can't bring back DESIRE.!!! We need Estrogen etc. !! That is the main hormone that feeds our desire as women. When that Hormone begins to DECLINE in perimenopause,this is when many women don't have the same sexual desire. This can be accompanied by other symptoms that we may not notice right away. Our moods can shift. This is due to hormone loss. We can begin to gain weight. We experience joint pain,sleeplessness,hot flashes, heart disease can occur. Yes,even heart disease. Again,because of hormone loss. Our skin changes,possible hair loss and more. This affects our overall health and well being as women. How about ask your wife what her Dr said. Go with her to the Dr. Do your own reading. I can guarantee you,the information will shock even you. I don't think treating her like a room mate is going to fix her existing issue. The menopause is the root cause. Perhaps she can get HRT. Not all women are candidates though. HRT will once again increase the ESTROGEN. The Estrogen is responsible for SEXUAL DESIRE AND MOISTURE. Does your wife know this? Also,if your wife isn't adequately Lubricated,you could tear her Vaginal tissues inside. Which would be painful and lead to infection. If you piss off your wife with your attitude, I can guarantee she won't even tell you if she looked into any of this. Your attitude can further make or break the situation. 🙏

It's hard to call this one because something isn't adding up in regards to the wife. I understand the smoking because that's a deal breaker for me, but she looks checked out, unhappy, and like she's in a different world than her husband. I like when he said, he would throw her out the window, run down and catch her, and sex her all the way backup.... I'm a twenty something, but that was cute!!! and seemed old school. I also think her problem might be she may be experiencing the beginnings of empty nest syndrome. Not sure what she will do once her children are all gone and living their lives. I can't believe how common that is; my sister's ex-husband used to turn her off smoking. She'd get nauseous with the smell & stopped having sex with him. Her new husband doesn't smoke, & they have sex a lot. I didn't realize there's people that repulsed by cigarette smoke, although it does stink, hence why I never dated men who smoked cigarettes.

She seems a mix of tired, exhausted and content. I think she has the mindset of "he not going nowhere, i got other priorities". I will say, if you were with someone who wasn't smoking, and they picked up the habit, it's pretty nasty. My ex wife picked up smoking, and destroyed her chemical make up, I hated sex with her after.

Their youngest is 15, not 5. It's not that hard to figure them out. It seems she doesn't want to let go of the kids and realize they're adults except for the 15 year old. The man is trying, she needs to try too. I know she's probably going though stuff but she needs to make an effort
