kaleidoscope had a huge impact on me in the 90s. my uncle made me a copy on tape and it was my favorite album for years. nostalgia to the max

Not sure if anyone cares but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can stream all the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my brother during the lockdown :)

"The Search Engine" is absolutely inspired. Such a long time between it and Kaleidoscope but worth it.

a Ninja Tune legend! But weren't the Coldcut guys (Matt/Jonathan) the main creative force behind DJ Food's best known work? This guy came later I thought..
@refraktr62233 жыл бұрын
long story short: at the beginnings of ninja tune, coldcut couldnt release their music under their own name for contractual reasons (i guess it was because at that time they released their album Philosophy on Artista Records) so thats how they came up with the name dj food and a little bit after that, when strictly kev and PC joined, DJ Food and Coldcut were on the same bill for a gig so Strictly Kev and PC didn't have a choice than to be DJ Food during the show while Coldcut (Black/Moore) were doing their own thing. Shortly after Black/Moore basically gave away DJ Food to Kev and PC. (a lot of other stuff happened but thats the main story)

This is going to sound horrendous but, my dad was a warden in an area of woods in S E london Kent owned by the national trust. The first time I ever saw and played a flexible disc was one that was amongst a huge box of porn that my dad found stashed in the woods. So he says…no joking aside he was not that person. Anyhow I ,being 13 or so went through the lot and got caught out by the way…well he put them in the shed ffs. I found this porno flexi with an Irish woman talking dirty basically. Went with a set of pics in one of the mags! So I wondered wether DJ food , would you have been interested. I’m going to say yes. Everyone’s a winner I suppose. Been a listener since the early nineties since bearing you on solid steel.
