When I first stumbled across this video, I began having fully-fleshed scenes, dialogue and all, in my head. I am an author, but I've never written anything like what this invoked. I'm almost finished with the first draft-- it's historical fiction, with a strange twist. I've never enjoyed writing anything as much as this. Maybe someday soon I'll be able to drop by here and post the book's name, and where it's available. But I'll never be able to take full credit for it. Marieke, if you're ever checking these comments... First, thank you for recording this version of "Crimson and Clover" and for pairing it for the video with the death scene from "Bonnie and Clyde" (1967). Perfection! Like chocolate and peanut butter. I've written a lot, but I've never been inspired-- driven, actually-- to write something more powerfully than this video inspired and continues to drive me. Not even close. I know I can't use the video itself in the book or in promotional materials for it, but it, and you, will be in the acknowledgments. Probably first in the acknowledgments. Thank you!

Kerry Hart thank you so much, I don’t read the comments that often. Add me on facebook: Marieke Hutsebaut :)

Thank you, Marieke, for making this amazing video. I don't check my notifications here that often. Glad I finally did-- had I seen your reply sooner, I'd have responded sooner. Obviously I can't use the video in the book beyond mentioning it (and I do mention it-- my 2 main characters can't get enough of it)-- it, and you, will be prominently thanked in the acknowledgments. Hope your new year's a great one. See you on FB?!

All time favourite of mine. Very nice (albeit a bit too angelic and not dirty enough) rendition.

i was just searching for covers of this song and ran into this. Weird as hell and i just keeping thinking.. wow they used a lot of ammo to shoot those people. That had to have been expensive.
@3ScotsInk6 жыл бұрын
Expensive and ridiculously unnecessary. Clyde was hit in the head and killed by the very first shot. Both were trapped in the car. One more shot would've taken Bonnie's life. Instead, 6 lawmen emptied 18 guns into what, very quickly, were two dead bodies. Possibly the most extreme example of overkill in American history.

So how can I get this song other than stealing it from KZbin and having in KZbin's crap quality? I'd really love to buy a higher quality of this song (than the quality youtube offers)

Marieke? Anybody? What is the lyric at 1:48, right before "you don't need to worry, cause I'll always love you." ? Any help greatly appreciated.

I think it’s “-and know that I’m sorry “ I can’t seem to find the specific lyrics for this cover anywhere

@@Huansy They're up above, in the description. I missed them, too. Obviously! 😂 Here you go. Now I don't hardly know you But I think I could love you Crimson and clover Now when you come walking over I've been waiting to show you Crimson and clover Over and over My my such a sweet thing I wanna do everything What a beautiful feeling You know that I'm sorry You don't need to worry Cause I'll always love you Crimson and clover Over and over Crimson and clover Over and over

I love this version but i don't think its a cover by the spectors. At least its not mentioned anywhere for them as far as albums or recordings. It sounds almost like Wilson Philips

Okay I actually got in contact with The Spectors and they confirmed that this is them. Nice. its a very good cover.
