Pins - pins. Not needles. Beyond that - excellent! You had me on pins and needles ;).

Oh I got a big smile when I saw the speedy stitcher.. my dad used something similar when I sailed with him for five years back in the 70's.. I am not sure if it is the same model but it was pretty similar.

Great demo thanks, suggestion make the knot first then cut to make sure you give yourself enough twine to make a good knot.

Thanks for showing us the speedy stitcher, it's such a great tool. I was wondering if you ever bought a walking foot sewing machine like the Sailrite Ultrafeed LSZ for your sail repair you did in a previous episode? I came very close to buying a used Sailrite LSZ ( that was about two years old ) the other day, and in the last moment canceled. I decided to keep using my Singer Heavy Duty (like you have) and do some more projects until I really need the more industrial machine . I did make some nice cushion covers and upgrade my foam seats in my RV with my Singer HD and they came out great. I also did a test sew on a JUKI DNU 1541 the other day and wow that machine purred and is so nice to use. Some day!

Thank you for your informative videos! I've been living on a 1985 Wauquiez Centurion 47 for just over a year now after binge watching your trip to Greenland which completely inspired me! Renewing refrigeration and freezer, replacing water maker membranes, repairing the generator and replacing the ac are the last major projects before I'm ready for action. Well of course new major projects will come up, but I'm catching fish and lobster anchored on a self-sufficient boat and loving every minute of it! Don't stop adventuring!

Thanks for the straight forward demo. If only I had read the instructions I would have known this, but your explanation was way better.

G'day Drake, I got one on my boat. A HOT TIP. You can allso ues an small drill & drillbit to make the holes if the matreareal is too thick to push the needle through. Gerard.

I so happy you have segment on your channel I have ordered so many items you have recomended and just ordered that speedy stitch it turns out I have to stitch some webbing on the exact same location as you just did and i did not want to take my sail rite machine up to the front of the boat. Thanks for that keep more of the boat goodies coming.

Excelent thanks. I have a speedy stitcher and have used it on several small repairs. I have used waxed twine for these, but am running low on this material. I would be interested to know if you had any recommendations as to which type and weight of twine to use for various jobs, and possibly sources that they could be ordered from?

All good Drake or Mo., I can wait for you too set up your affiliate links. Do not forget all your favorite things. Every one needs a link. By the way , I bought a t- shirt. Would be nice for more men's choices. Maybe a Hoodie or long sleeve shirt. Just a thought.

Every sailor should have a Speedy Stitcher. I just used mine to repair the clew of our jib which had a seam ripped apart in seconds when we accidentally let it flog in a squall. Much easier than a needle and palm. BTW, we are on our second season of using canned meals as our main provisions after watching your canning video a couple years ago. As you said, it changed our life. For the better!
