Fun stuff so having played a lot of elves couple things that I noticed. 1. Atraxa is 7 mana so kinda funny the mistake on tutoring the best option when you had 8 mana might have won the game due to opponent mistake. 2. Might have went 4-1 if allosaurus Shepard had been saved when opponent swords to plowshares it when you had a symbiote out. Natural order won basically every game that was won, the build itself imo didn't enable that better. Deck needs some better 1-2 drops. The stat power creep makes it just to hard for the plan B to be super effective. Sylvan Anthem makes the plan B better but games didn't go long enough imo for it to actually generate value. Elves getting a 3-2 nowadays with elfball just because bow master is so low in metagame share isn't particularly crazy. Feel this build just off the back of natural order can win, but the deck is solidly in the T2 or farther down nowadays since the more "midrange" cards just are not effective enough most of the time.

I wasn't sure if I was going to play EW Asia this year since I hadn't played legacy much (had been grinding modern) and only had goblins on hand. My buddy threw Nadu combo at me in paper testing and I was reminded why I had quit modern for a few months, and 46:40 was a perfect description of exactly why I didn't play Legacy over the weekend and just played side events while I was there lol. Was a fun event to be at, though!

Calculating hoof damage is real easy: (number of creatures on board with hoof included)squared gives you the total +x/+x for the hoof ETB, and then just add up power from all the creatures. Remove any non-attacking/summoning sick creatures from the total. Way easier than manual addition that I see everyone doing.

I actually just got to that part of the video and just checked. I'm pretty sure you're correct because it is a creature planeswalker spell, the example on gatherer says it can be essence scattered but not negated.

Yes, Grist is considered a creature at all points in the game (Including the stack) with the exception of being on the battlefield.

Pretty sure one of the reasons Jaspera Sentinel is in there is to wall Tamiyo; difficult to notice everything when you're trying to feel out a new deck but I was surprised to see you board it out in round 2 after you'd seen one. This deck is cool -- as someone who loved playing elves back around 2013 I'd wanna give this a spin. I do think this deck doesn't need much gas to get going and probably mulligans quite well, so all I was thinking the first game of round three was you in other videos yelling "london mulligan is good." Edit: Well I missed something myself, Tamiyo is on attack so Jaspera isn't walling it unless it has a couple of anthems to back it up.

Not sure if I'm missing something, but Tamiyo makes the clues on attack. Feels like by the time you have enough Sylvan Anthems in play to make an attack unprofitable, probably she's already got her value?

So the deck builds an engine that mimics mystic forge + paradox engine in that you can vomit your cheap creatures off the top of your deck with the ability to produce mana with creatures the turn they enter play and scry uncastable cards away. Then the next turn it's hoof or dino charge for the win...neat
